    Cyriel Derrers press conference:
"We tried to switch our minds to that. Yeah, regarding John, I think this is also a part of football. John has been huge for us the whole season, so important, and yeah, we don't blame him. This is unfortunately part of football, and yeah, we support him and hopefully, we can see him back on the pitch really soon, sooner rather than later."
    Celtic 2-1 Rangers
Celtic has almost clinched their 54th Scottish Premiership title following a dramatic 2-1 victory over a ten-man Rangers squad. The intense match, filled with pivotal moments, saw Celtic maintain their lead in the standings with only a few games left in the season.
The match unfolded with high stakes and high drama, starting with Matt O’Riley putting Celtic ahead in the 35th minute. The momentum continued as John Lundstram of Rangers unfortunately scored an own goal, doubling Celtic's lead. However, Lundstram's day worsened after receiving a red card, leaving Rangers with ten men. Despite being a man down, Rangers managed to pull one back through Cyriel Dessers, setting the stage for a tense finish.
The atmosphere at Parkhead was electric as Celtic fans sensed the championship was within reach. Throughout the match, both teams showed why the Old Firm derby is one of the most fiercely contested matches in world football.
Post-match comments from both camps reflected the intensity of the derby. Celtic's manager Brendan Rodgers expressed immense satisfaction with the performance and the crucial three points gained, which have all but secured the title for his team. "It’s a brilliant day. The energy, the speed was outstanding, and the guys showed great mentality," Rodgers remarked. On the other side, Rangers' manager Philippe Clement acknowledged the challenges faced by his team, particularly after going down to ten men. "After the red card, my team kept on fighting... something can fall out of the sky," Clement stated, hoping for a miracle that ultimately didn't materialize.
As the final whistle blew, Parkhead erupted in joy, with Celtic now needing just one point from their remaining fixtures against Kilmarnock and St Mirren to officially claim the title. Rangers, meanwhile, must regroup and focus on the upcoming cup final, providing them another opportunity to finish the season with silverware.
The match was not just a testament to Celtic's tenacity and skill but also highlighted the unpredictable nature of football, where a single game can dramatically influence the course of a season. For Celtic, this victory is a step closer to another Scottish Premiership title, adding yet another chapter to their storied rivalry with Rangers.
