This has always been one of my favorite movies. That scene when Karen sees Chucky doesn’t have any batteries was terrifying as a kid.
and that nasty bum that sold her the doll trying to force himself on her until Norris comes and saves her.
Why has no one made a Chucky doll with a fake battery cover hiding the real ones like with the movie prop , that would blow your mind as a kid and still be cool as a prop remake.

Chucky and Candyman are two horror classics that were filmed in Chicago.
I lived near this area in the 1990s and there were movies being made constantly in the area. I remember The Hudsucker Proxy with Paul Newman and Jennifer Jason Leigh being filmed about a block from my apartment.

One of the scripts for a sequels to Halloween was going to be here in Chicago as well, but that one never happened

I adore Chucky. All the movies. Brad Dourif is a brilliant actor and the fact that he stuck with the killer doll all these years is awesome. Loving the T.V. show too and Tiff should probably be worshiped as a goddess.

I worked at my local Target for 9 years and if only my store looked like that lol too bad they couldn’t carry on the cathedral like architecture on the inside! Crazy to see these scenes and what is still standing omg
This building housed Carson, Pirie, Scott and Company. You can see the original signage in the movie. It was on par with a Macy's, high end retail.

Did I hear him right that it's 30 for like only a half an hr?? I haven't had to park in city in many years & I recall in my nearby city it was like 10 for an hr. That's nuts it's gotten that high. I'm assuming that's why everyone either walks or finds other transport nowadays. Wonder if that's a Chicago thing or other major cities now too?

I adore this film. As a kid I had it 'recorded from TV' on a four-hour VHS tape - along with Labyrinth. What a double-bill that was.
