the AV ref was designed to fail. AV is NOT PR, so anyone who like the current system rejected AV and anyone who wanted PR rejected AV. it was NOT a ref on PR.

I voted against AV cause I knew it wasnt going to significantly change anything and would shut down any chance of PR for 30 years.

I almost feel there is an argument for here for non tactical voting. Remind them that they need PR, and that they can't rely on the left to just vote for the party to kick the conservatives out.

Ive been watching every new podcast ep for the last 3 weeks. I'm a new fan and I live in Australia. Shows just too funny. We only get loser twat politics content here.
Ynys Mon, my home constituency is a 3 way seat - in 2019 Labour and Plaid Cymru took about 10,000 votes each but the Tory candidate got 12,000 votes so therefore won. We have a Plaid MS FYI. Will be very interesting to see which way it goes, it’s previously been Labour and PC in the past. A progressive tragedy there for sure.

as a swiss voter i am kinda puzzled about the "we're not switzerland" comment. why? we've had referendums and initiatives on everything under the sky here for so long, without any digital election tools. why exactly is it not feasible?
it's not perfect by any means and the electorate here isnt somehow magically informed about every topic. it just shifts away a lot of focus from the single politicians and parties and more over to topics, but it's still the same ppl campaigning to convince the same voters
Polling in clwyd north, full of druids and pagans is also something similar with labour or tory wining on something like 30%
I’m so disappointed with the candidates in Clwyd North which is where I live now. The Tory is a Tory MS who’s just outright lying in his campaign about what he can do and is deliberately misleading the public on the role of an MP vs an MS and the Labour candidate doesn’t live in the constituency and is a former education professional who voted to cut DCC’s education budget in their position on the council. Also DCC still have bin shit going on so it’s not going well.
I should clarify that I have no intention to vote Tory but they are a major party that represent the views of a lot of people so they shouldn’t endorse candidates misleading the public. Haven’t had anything through from other parties at all, the Tory candidate has been round to the house but not the Labour candidate yet.
@@SashaGrace94 yeah same had loads from Darren Miller who has a history of back patting the councillors near me, his office is round the corner, had a couple of things with plaid which is who I'll probably go for, though they have carved up the rural areas with the new boundaries so it might be hard for them
