- The Christian Medical College, established in 1900 by missionary Dr. Ida S. Scudder, is a private university located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. It is recognised as one of the best medical colleges in India and strives to train students in the fields of health sciences, medical and nursing. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and speciality courses such as diploma, fellowship and distance learning courses. Around 2500 students are enrolled in each academic year. The college has subsidised fees. Students pay around Rs. 1.5 lac for the two-year diploma course and Rs. 28,000 for post doctoral fellowships.
The college reserves 84 seats out of 100 in the MBBS course for the minority category while 16 students are open to all, 3 seats are reserved for SC/ST and OBC students. One student is selected by the Government of India. Candidates applying to the MBBS course, need to submit their NEET test scores. Students applying to B.Sc, BOT, BPT, BPO and diploma courses will be chosen on the basis of a computer-based test and interview.

I know the suffering of a patients family when someone is sick I have suffered that pain even though from a very good doctor family not only this generation three generation back too...but at that point we only seek God and my grandad over come intestine cancer at the age of 80. Myself and my family had thanked God. Fine again please don't take it serious

In here the fees is low comparatively to other colleges. You are asked to pay 55k - 65k per month, but on the other colleges its 2lakhs and higher (some go as much as 15lakhs but for a safer side i can say 6lakhs). Despite being a private college, it asks low fees and gives quality education/treatment. But the thing is the rule, there's a that you have to sign the bond that you will work 2 years in there. We can't blame them. Indeed they have been providing us service for decades.

Do you have any idea whats it like to pass Neet, in OC quota? Do u have any idea how much medical courses cost? Our kids work hard to get here but here you are ruining our children's future from getting a chance. If hatred for other religions goes like this, western countries would stop taking indians and would stop investing in our country.

One of the worst hospital in vellore, India. The locals mostly doesn't choose to take treatment here. Patients from far distance come here and wasting their time and money, don't why?
Brother your views are not correct. This is my personal experience with CMC. We belongs to Karur Tamilnadu. My wife had some ailment. for that we consulted some leading hospitals in Coimbatore. they took some tests and suggested to take paracetamol. they don't discovered the root cause. so we came here to CMC as advised by our relative. only the doctors here identified the disease and it's root cause after serious of tests. Its auto immune disorder and she is under treatment and she is doing well now. They are not a money minded corporate hospital and following 100 percent medical ethics.
Many people like us not only in India but across the globe are coming for treatment not for wasting their precious time and money. So please dont under estimate CMC and change your views brother. Iam telling this because your words hurts us. sorry

Recently i,e may 2020 my younger brothers wife was admitted in the same CMC was dead after 3 days of treatment. What do u say now? Iam from walajapet i,e just 40 km from CMC. When you got good treatment naturally u say good hospital. But indeed its bad experience to me. Most of the locals avoid CMC this is the fact.
