It's beyond ridiculous that the Pokemon Company would advertise this event as having a chance to catch shiny Gimmighoul. You have to check every event den to find a 5*, and then odds are 1/4096. It's so time consuming, you can't even encounter 4096 raid dens within the limited time event period. But yeah, I'll fall for it and hunt 😂

They did the event back in june 2023 and i wasnt even hunting for a shiny i was just doing the raids but i ended up catching a shiny on my 3rd attempt and i didn't know for a while because of the DANG CHEST COLOR. But yeah ive had a shiny ghimmegoul since 2023 i just haven't gotten around to evolving it.
I feel they could have given us 2xp coins for defeating gimmghouls during its raid event, that way people that do get a shiny will be able to evolve one right away

Well, from your games POV what you´ve done was joining somones raid and defeating and catching that pokemon. Said mon also doesn´t have any "weird" characteristics like different ability or moves, so from that perspective it´s absolutely legit. I´ve got myself two XXL shiny Gimmighouls that way (one to evolve and one to keep as Gimmighoul). Never had problems with either of them.
