The most beautiful part of this train is that it actually looks like as if one is in a plane as it moves up above buildings and roads. This is so beautiful 😊
It it indeed. Thanks for watching.
hoping all of this leads to Nigeria advancing fast, I wish nothing but sucess to the entire african continent
Don't you love
trains, trams, aren't they all beautiful :)
come take a ride! (at folder 2, look my way)
A big boost for Lagosians moving around the metropolis. You did a great job with infos
Thanks for watching...
MAINTENANCE VERY IMPORTANT.
here in the US, as long as you are still within the train area, you don't need to check in your card again, the only time you check in your card is when you exit the train station, i feel that is stressful going up to check in your card and coming down again. amazing video, watching from New York
Very stressful but government must get return on their investment abi?!
He’s making round trips,it’s normal to check in card and out, in many countries I have been too such as china Korea and Japan you check 2 times first when coming into station secondly when exiting the station.
New York nor be Lagos we move and apply measures differently do you have problem with that.
@@outlyfe7570 read and understand my point before you write
Is it that same NY subway that has about 30min wait time for the next train?
There should be janitors/cleaners 24/7 to maintain the cleanliness.
U can see everywhere is clean they know what they are doing
I love everything about your coverage, so decent, calm, clean, matured and audible. Keep it up Sir.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
Everything about this video is beautiful, from the station to the train which looks like what you'll see in foreign countries, to the view. The narration is always good and educating. Weldone.
This looks like what you will find in some foreign countries.
Thanks for watching.
Honestly better than the ones in New York. Those trains there are VERY old and dirty
@@elijah5682 Ney York Metro is over a hundred years old and not that well maintained. You need to maintain the system well, but atleast trains are running 24/7 in NYC.
Not at all. South Africa built it's Gautrain in 2009 and this Nigerian train is nowhere near the Gautrain. It's nice though
@@hlanganisambatha614You are here again with your big fat lies? Continue
This is beautiful, kudos to lagos state government, this is how its done in abroad
Madooo Nigeria is very developed like crazy
Africa MUST ADMIT THAT ONLY WITH THE HELP OF CHINA WE SEE THAT KIND OF DEVELOPMENT. EUROPE AND ITS COLONIZERS WILL NEVER BE OUR FRIENDS OR WANT US TO DEVELOP AFRICA.
No be the British build the first set of tracks?
@@ememobongnkanato transfer goods for their own companies and pockets. Not the same at all.
Which one can you build ?
Why should we wait for the Chinese or the Europeans?
Maybe it’s time we start pushing these developments ourselves and leave both Europe and China out of it.
We most certainly have the knowledge.
We have the educated manpower in abundance.
We are the richest and most endowed continent in natural resources in the world.
If we eliminate corruption, we will definitely have the finances.
It is time to emancipate yourself from this reliant and subservient mindset
i just wish VI, Lekki- Epe will be connected it well decongest the traffic on the road
There's a plan for the GREEN LINE which will start from Marina and pass through Victoria island, Lekki, Ajah and all the way to Ibeju lekki.
@AfamOrji That will be so amazing cos ppl won't need to live in the city anymore
Coming soon.. It's called Green Line. RedLine will be launched in few months, connecting from Ogun state corridor to Ikeja and the airport.
Beautiful 😊
Great video
Lovely 🥰
Beautiful
This is really cool

Nice job and educative
Good job and wonderful information guy. God bless you 🇺🇸
Congrats Nigeria about damn time 👍.
Awesome video, calm and relaxing with great infos as well. I definitely enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work 👏🏽
Bro thank you for promoting our country.Love❤❤ this is nice
The National Theatre is still very much a major Lagos landmark 6:53
…in addition to the Ikoyi link Bridge.
A place/city can have more than one major landmark
The Abuja metro is the first intracity rail system in Nigeria
My bad. Thanks for watching.
We are talking about metro line not locomotif
quite interesting,i also wanted to travel by train for the first time through this edifice.
Wow nice one. This is good, I think I need to go and get my own card for it
how did you find your way there by foot? how do I get there from Eko Hotel roundabout
Beautiful it should reach to all the states in Nigeria
It's Lagos State Govt only. Except other states want to do theirs
Nice one bro.
By the way you've been missing in action. Have not seen your videos for a long while
Yes, my brother. Took some time off. Thanks bro.
@@AfamOrji you are welcome back.
👏👏👏 Good Job 👍
Thank you Victoria! Cheers!
nice content nice sound just subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Really looks nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
well done bro, ur narration was apt and ur video was educative....wish was back home I would love to utilize these facilities...b4 i left I made sure I enjoyed the buses..welldone Lagos state Govt for this intra city rail a big city like Lagos deserve this...
Good to know that you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I Hope there is provision for elderly and people with disabilities as those stairs look like too much work for even young people. That said, Good work Lagos.
Its very important that cleaning dept is on standby for good maintainance and serious security dept not the kaftan with reflector personnel am seeing.
Very informative Mr Orji Good work may God Bless How do we donate to your channel ??
You did a very good job brother with your information
Thank you do much for watching
Well done, Afam. I love your mini documentary. I felt I was right there beside you.
Thanks very much 🙏
It isn't the first intra city in Nigeria, Abuja has one, unfortunately..it operated for like 10 months and paused... government says it will resume operation sometime next year.
Also put more signs out for directions to your train stations please.
Kudos to Lagos! The train seems to be quite slow, though! Anyway, Lagosians, please, keep it clean and safe!
Please how much does a trip cost? I didn't quite get that. Is it 500naira still?
Even Chinese dey snap pictures when they saw the views…….who says Africans are local? When you see something amazing…..u create memories
The noise about this train.... Chai...
It's even making foreigners think there has never been train in Nigeria.
It's just that this is way more presentable and modern.
Train works from Yaba to oshodi to other places everyday in Lagos. Maybe Nigerians don't even know.
Ibadan to Lagos train is modern and has started working before the blue rail.
I hope they maintain it
If they can't you can help them, una too talk
Wow , what an awesome view.
How much is the train
The card is 500 naira get your info correct, nothing like 300
Why you need to wait downstairs and why its not continuously moving? It only has 6 station right? Correct me if im wrong.. its not a long seated journey to have a time schedule lol 🤣🤣 or is the wagon are not enough???
I hope they keep on with maintenance.
Complainer you can help dem maintain it
This video made me appreciate my country 🇿🇦 to think we had this from 2009 ...wow
You talk as if aside from jozi to Pretoria there's other intra city trains in SA. Even Florida recently launched theirs. Every win is a win.
Remember SA was the biggest economy in Africa before indigenous black south Africans got liberated
Your comment is shady and unnecessary.
@@TwinThug yes there is... There trains that Lagos has just launched are in the same standard as our PRASA trains which exist across the Gauteng province...
@@fesderi3933 yeah, and this was done in 2009...
Lagos skyline isn’t bad. Our progression as a country isn’t bad compared to other African countries. However, we can do better as a country with the huge human potentials/ resources or riches of our land.
Also a lot of African countries are ahead of us too
This is called DLR here in London.
And we need to know that because?
almost same wih dlr
The beginning of long awaited development…..hopefully they will have a good MAINTENANCE 😕
I hope there are plans for continuous maintenance to keep the train new?
We're told that there are plans.
Wow ghana did a great job!! 🌚😂
Hahaha 😂😂why mocking Ghanians bro
Nigeria still don't have light 😅😅😅😅
If you are going back its wrong to go and tag out
Thanks for sharing with those in the diaspora. However, you didn't tell us the times it moves, your interviewer says it was consistent and reliable.
What is the frequency?
Is it every 10 minutes, 30 minutes, two hours?
Does it have a first train time in the morning and a last train time in the evening?
Does it work on weekends at the same times or restricted times?
Once again, thanks for making the video.
Thanks for watching.
Not including the time table was intentional what was available ended the day I did the video, A new time table will be released before the 16th of this month when the train service begins fully.
e@@AfamOrji Nice one.
The train currently operates during peak hours and there is a timetable at the stations and on LAMATA website. However when the train starts operation, the wait time will be about 10minutes and the train will have 76 trips per day with 90 seconds stop time at each station during transit.
Is this train or metro ELECTRIFY or na DIESEL ENGINE ?
Metro Electric
Please sir the card they sold for 500 naira, is it a plastic card or hard paper ?
Mine is plastic.
@@AfamOrji okay, thanks for the reply.
It is plastic and i have had mine since 2022, cos it's also used for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
@@naijagatekeeper101 I know the popular one is plastic, but I discovered recently that they started selling the hard paper type, and they sold it for 200 naira, I just wanted to confirm if it was not the paper type they sold for him for 500 naira.
For the people watching this video, my advice for y"all is never to try cross the train track, if u like dey want play smart but that will be ur own risk .
E go soon become like molue. Just watch.
Not true
@@naijagatekeeper101 take a look at the oshodi bus stations. Oga dey watch o.
BRT is 15 years, still shared and air-conditioned clean. Wish Lagos well, not bad. Eko oni Baje o!
How much was the ride? From Marina to Mile 2
It was about 350 Naira. But the original price I head is about 700 naira.
@@AfamOrjiis that cheap? Cause if its too expensive for regular people then its useless
Afam.. all these yeye obidients. Why not go and ride the train obi built for yall in anambra? Onye oshi

Jagaban master plan must continue in Lagos.
08:53 Must you have to checked in your card back? As long as you're not exiting the platform, you shouldn't have to checked in again, you can only check out whenever you're leaving the platform.. Abi na only abroad dis kind logic dey ni?
I did a second trip and this time I didn't check my card again.
5 mins is too much for a train to stop and drop or pick passengers. In Toronto, train stops for less than 1 minute.
So what? Different countries, different rules....All these comparisons are unnecessary
It's only 5 minutes for now, but it's gonna be 90sec when fully functioning and that's excellent for the high lagos population.
Locomotive train not electric train why? Due to no antenna on the top of the train electricity comes from wire give power to move faster of train 😂😂😂
Electric Metro
Train ticket cost a day's pay for poor people.
You shouldn't have left the train to check out again.
Actually, we were specifically told to leave the train if we're returning and there were officials there to make sure the train is empty.
@@AfamOrji wow ok👌
Na ur girlfriend be that ?
Wetting concern you 😂
@@tundebakare6887na jealously dey worry her😂😂😂 I no fit laughs😂😂
The Chinese did a good job. The problem is that Lagos state can't maintain it. I know how we love dirty environment in this country. So I am sceptical it can be maintained. Not only that the surroundings are not beautified there is trash seen from inside the train in many areas along the way. No green, no grass, no flower, no plants and no landscaping. This country is far from modernity.
Thank you, sir, for this video.
You're a very bitter person. What's wrong with you? You are everywhere posting negative comments.
No Green, No Flower, No Grass, No Plant and no this and that FOOL...
Have you seen plants, flowers and Green in most Metro Stations in Europe? This Marina Metro Station in Lagos even looks nice and beautiful than most Metro Stations in Europe.
Many Metro Stations in Europe smell very bad because of Junkies.😮
@@papap1186 I am talking of the surroundings, you codeine user. Go and check your brain for psychological problems.
Just to update you, the BRT system has been running for years and it's still been maintained. The Lagos to Ibadan train has been in operation yet the stations look new. We say the government don't maintain infrastructure yet we the citizens are the ones vandalizing infrastructures.
Do you know how bad China was even as late as 30 years ago? Do you know the level of poverty and wretchedness many living Chinese people faced? The development of China is very recent.
Every society has it's opportunity to develop if its citizens put more effort in developing the society than they do in putting it down.
Shame... no one is using it because... no one has jobs!
Very dumb comment.....you can't even get a seat during rush hour
What are you saying didn't you heard is 5:30 in the morning
He said on Sunday but I understand you are too dumb to get
hater the metro strain is very cheap even if you don't have job you can still afford its.😂.
I am sure in this life and in the next life to come your country can't afford this.😮😂
Foolish he goat
Big help from China. China funded this railway project
The Lagos State govt still has alot to do. There is no access to more people to take the train. If you cannot climb the stairs, how do you go up there? Why did they not construct a rolling stair case? This shows that they are backward with 30 to 40 years in development in Nigeria. They should launch more lines, blue, red, yellow, white, green etc that goes round the state. Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria They should have a station in Idumuta so that more people can take it. Until all nigerians can afford to ride on this trains the govt has not done it job. It is the duty & responsibility og the govt to provide transportation for the citizens, construct good roads & rails. Nigeria govt do your job. Stealing our money is not your job.
There's lift from the ground floor and escalators from the hall to the platform.
Oga don't you see the lift.
