    Cinderella - 80's hair band known for some big, impressive ballads. "Nobody's Fool" and "Don't Know What You Got (Til It's Gone)" were probably the most well known of their ballads back in my day. They also had some rockers, but always liked Keifer's voice on the ballads more.

      Please stop using the disparaging term ‘hair band’. It is so insulting to any bands that you are referring to. It is a term that they came up with in the 90s to ridicule and marginalize a whole generation of bands. I’m pretty sure all bands have hair. It does nothing to describe the music.

      @joshuaswanson1977 Před 3 lety

      I totally understand your sentiment, but I respectfully disagree with you. Heartbreak Station and Still Climbing are criminally underrated albums. Especially Still Climbing.
      My choice for 3 best Cinderella songs would include Gypsy Road, but I would replace Nobody's Fool and Don't Know What You Got with Bad Attitude Shuffle and Shelter Me.
      I wouldn't say those are my 3 favorite Cinderella songs though. Those would be: Hard to Find the Words, Through the Rain and Talk is Cheap.
      In my opinion, Cinderella's best albums are the ones that didn't get the mainstream recognition that they should have: Heartbreak Station and Still Climbing. Yeah, their first two albums had more hits but those two were better overall. Kinda like Warrant. Dog Eat Dog was a phenomenal album that just didn't get the recognition it deserved because grunge was killing off bands like them. The Bitter Pill was probably their best ballad. I love how the video for the song on the Warrant VEVO is the acoustic version of the song.

    My old man found plenty of time to run around on me back in the day.... He BROKE MY SOUL, not only my heart. BUT, he made me want another life, so I decided to move from South Carolina to Montana, via Amtrak. On the eve of my big move my train was scheduled to leave at 9:20 p.m. .... Of course he was the one who wanted to see me off. The train was 17 hours late, so talk about waiting on a train.... thinking about all of our life plans, and accomplishments. I almost refused to go by the time it got there, but he gave me his best winter coat (we used to go skiing camping hiking, etc) and I realized it was time. I've never been back, except for my parents funeral, same day, and he played this song for me in the car while driving me back to the airport. He has a beautiful family now, so do I, but when I hear this IT CRUSHES ME because it was supposed to be OUR life, ya know???? I'm happy now, and probably would not have what I have now if he hadn't had hardened my heart, but these dang songs just make you want to crumble sometimes when they open up the old wounds. I love your channel and your reactions to the power ballads !!!!!!

Cinderella was the first band to play and i had never heard of them before and was totally blown away as they where amazing live. The next day i went out and bought their album Night Songs and still listen to it to this day. For me that album has some of there best work on it, it was one fantastic song after an other and as an album i don't think they have ever matched it.

    If you liked this one, you should hear Hard to Find the Words. The Bitter Pill by Warrant is another really good ballad that not many people have ever heard... Meaning it wasn't a big hit for them. It came out around the time that grunge music was killing off hair metal bands. It's unfortunate too because there's a lot of great music that got buried because bands like Nirvana were the new "It" thing.

    Cinderella, were probably the best band of the hair band genre. When they got the chance, on their second album, they went went for timeless, rather than just be a sign of the times. If they could've done what the Black Crowes, eventually did, mix the cool late 60 and early 70s Stones vibe, they wouldn't have been lumped in with all the other knuckle head hair bands and could've thrived during grunge and post grunge.
