I love it! This one is 100 tmes better than previous years. I can relate to that first half. I eat at the Cheesecake Factory during the con in costume. The waiters have always been nice, but the diners just won't stop staring! lol
OMG! something like that happened at Anime Weekend Atlanta last year! xDD when my friend and I walked into Steak and Shake people kinda looked at us but then a giant group of cosplayers walked in and then the next few people that came in actually left after they looked at us all xDDDD Great commercial it was really funny. xD
Otakon is my convention...strictly for geographical purposes. Seeing so much of GIRUGAMESH everywhere I actually had to ask where the hell it came from...saw the commercial for 09, and...I felt embarrassed. This one actually made me chuckle. Eh, better luck next year, I guess?
They cosplay, but they have a ton of unwritten rules about where you can cosplay, when you can cosplay, etc. So having a food court full of cosplayers is not something you would see in Japan. The con scene in Japan is extremely different than it is in America.
This commercial looks like it's made by people who never been to a con, never watched anime, never played a videogame and learned about cosplays when they were hired to make this commercial...
Still wish these commercials were more appropriate in a sense of what the con is like... but MUCH better than the 09 one ... *shudders at those "gurugamesh videos"*
Ah, I've done that once! I was in a musical and had to put on makeup that made my skin green (I was Elphaba in Wicked), and had on a flowy, green cape, and I had black hair. Anyway, I went into Wendy's and EVERYONE was staring at me. I was like, "I'm sorry I didn't have time to take a thirty minute shower so I could come and eat without being stared at! -_-"
I don't like this one. Not enough Girugamesh.
