The problem is they always seem to release broken ops, either OP or underwhelming. Fenrir and solis still not nerfed after a whole year. Sens is still ass. Releasing 8 ops a year would be chaos at this point
I miss that but at the same time I don't cause Jesus Christ season releases were a pain with all the bugs and unbalanced ops.

They sold it as a "remastered" which was meant to hype it up and distract from the fact that next season won'thave any new operator.
When roadmap was announced, some people were angry that ubi went from 4 ops a year (former 8 ops) down to only 2 ops which they most likely will continue in Y10. Some "I rather eat shit than critizing anything ubisoft does in the name of greed" fanboys argued that the recruit remastered would be "like" 2 new ops. Rn the shown footage at least suggests that they didn't seem to have changed much about recruit as he has always been able to bring 2 secondary gadgets

That’s sad, like in the post they use the word NEW possibility’s……. That’s not new if it’s already in the game… new means like new gadget or a huge change, shifting around secondary gadgets isn’t sufficient enough to call new… they also explained in in the y9 panel making it seem like it was completely new to r6… but what we have seen seems so minimal…. Hopefully they change the guns around for recruit and give them more options, also just to add, if they allow 5 of them on the same team then that means 10 emp gernades, which kinda sounds unfair

Since they took out select fire for all guns (minus some gadgets), I wonder if they are going to use that button to cycle between two secondary gadgets, and still have a main gadget.
There has got to be more. 2 secondary gadgets is good and can be useful but the devs did say they will have their own unique gadget/ability so this teaser is probably just to throw some people off
That was said for year9 season 3 operator btw ... They compared it to azami and mira and said it will change the way you execute your gameplay

Remember recruit had almost every weapon in his load out? What if.... It's ALL weapons (seasonal operators gadgets included) and double secondary gadgets, AND you can choose the armor class/speed.

Would be a lot more exciting than just sheer luck...
My guess is that both recruits carry a hardware bag of secondary util which they can use according to their need but there will be a cap to whatever they can choose ... For example on attack recruit brings every secondary util gadget ( smoke flash claymore emp hard and soft breech charges nades ) but can only use 2 sets of them depending on the requirement
I reckon that the unique ability will be that during the round they can choose any secondary to use in the moment, on top of the already selected one
it could be a box that you can refil your secondary gadget but isntead of just refil you can choose another gadget, you use the impact emp and use the box to get a hard breach

Recruit should have full options for both their gadget choices. You can either make a good combo like emp + hardbreach or you could just go full grenade loadout, go 2 c4’s, or barbwire a hallway with 4 barbwires💀
They never said they would have their own gadget in the reveal. They said they would allow you to inject strategy in to your lineup like never before. I will tell you right now this is big for split pushes. You can take a recruit and flank watch or think of a chalet Basment. The Recurit can hit main wall alone if bandit isn’t tricking. And hold breech while the other 4 hit back side.
my guess is that the recruits are going to basically be your "build you own op". with choices between two to three primary weapons and the same with secondary weapons. and then they can choose between two or three options for their gadgets.
That's basically what we already have.

I think the recruits will have an option of weapons/ gadgets from other ops to select from.
Would be cool if there was a single gadget for all selected recruits, like healing stims, 5 in total, any recruit could use them, simmilar to defender reinforcement pool.

I hope the recruit is just a utility demon, like he can bring any gadgets on attack such as impact grenades, this would slightly bring back the grenade throwing underneath floors to help destroy utility etc

Makes a lot of sense for Recruit and I think now that we have so many more secondary gadgets that are very impactful, giving Recruit strong combos make sense.
Maybe the main gadget is a kit where you can change one of your secondary gadgets.
So like, you start the match with: Impact EMP + Nade
But you have 1x Kit that you can put it on the ground (like Rook) and switch the Nade to a Hard Breach. Other people could interact with it to change their secondary as well (but only once)
I’m glad they’re keeping recruit with the same gadgets. I think that it’d be cool to have different recruit “classes”, that way its easy to balance by choosing what guns are available with what gadgets. I’m not a balancing expert but here’s what I’ve thought of (I only bothered with attack).
Have a breacher recruit with hard breach charge and impact emps, MK17 and GSH as weapons (2 speed). An entry recruit with smokes and flashes an AUG and revolver (3 speed). A demolitionist with frags and soft breach charges and M4 and super shorty(2 speed). An anchor with claymores and smokes and riot shield (1 speed). A marksman with soft breaches and claymores with mk 14 EBR and P12 (2 speed). A heavy gunner with hard breaches and flashes with LMG-E and Gonne-6 (1 speed). A shotgunner with smokes and soft breaches with Supernova and CZ-75 (3 speed). A fragger with grenades and impact emps with the C8-SFW and SMG-12 (1 speed).
I think it’d also be cool to add new utility to the game alongside these recruit changes. I’d like to see an ammo box, a decoy grenade, or a spare drone. A molotov would be cool but may need their own operator. I also like the idea of deployable ladders that can be placed; could be used to go up and down hatches; similar to Amaru except you’re more vulnerable and anyone can use it. This may be better on defense though.
I just hope they do this and open up their arsenal again. I miss recruit shield rush.

I believe recruit will be able to cycle through all secondary’s and use 2 of whatever they want for both so can be 4 nades but they’ll be limited to certain amount

@@acola well what I was thinking is if they wanna run double it’ll be limited (ex. If you wanna run double nades it’ll be 3 and not 4, flash bangs will 4 not 6, defenders will be able to have double explosive but 1 nitro and 1 impact that refills once)

I’m expecting if they’re smart they will allow any combination of secondary gadgets and actual customization of your weapon loadout. They will still have specific weapons but you get to choose the attachments. And obviously they will milk cosmetics for money.
But if they do all of this, recruit will actually be viable compared to operators that already exists.
20 bucks the defender is gonna have the lame ‘combo’ of a bulletproof camera and observation blockers, you know cause they interact just like the attacker’s.
Maybe one of the major rework aspects is they'll have a primary gadget AND the ability to have 2 secondary gadgets to toggle from?
Edit: my other theory is this is a diversion and the new recruits are actually apart of Keres Legion

IMO they're gonna add different kits for recruits. For example breacher kit containing emps and hard breach , frager kit with nades and flashes or smth like that

In terms of weapons. I hope the Attacker Recruit's armed with the M4 and SR-25 while Defender Recruit has the MP5SD (or the Commando-9) and the GIGN Shotgun.
That is genuinely the worst loadout suggestion ive ever seen for recruit, the only slighty acceptable one is the sgcqb, but still doesnt fit him that much

The M4 hits really hard and has good recoil control, the SR-25 is one of the best DMRs in the game only paling in comparison to the OTS-03 (arguably the best DMR in Siege). The MP5SD's stats are downright identical to the regular MP5 except for a slight increase in recoil and while the Commando-9 is a slower firing weapon, it hits harder compared to the other SMGs except Thorn's SMG, the K1A and 416-C.

the only way i could see these "new" recruits being worth it to players that have been playing for a good while is if we can choose almost any loadout of weapons maybe with some exceptions
The ONE thing Ubi has to do for recruit is revert him to the old recruit. Fully unlocked weapon selection and customization. It's the ONE thing they have to do to fix recruit

Recruit having two secondary gadgets has always been Recruit's gimmick. He's the most flexible operator. Ubisoft giving them a whole new gadget has never made logical sense to me, and I am glad to see that they aren't going that route.

I think Fenrir losing the bullet proof aspect, and one fnatt is fine, but I think taking a code away too is a bit harsh. I think they should only pick 2 of the 3 nerfs, and either keep the bulletproof, keep the same number of mines, or keep 3 codes still. But maybe I'm also biased cuz I JUST started playing Fenrir, and of course it's right when he's about to be nerfed lol. I didn't get to experience his over poweredness to its full extent yet 😭🤣

Anybody got issues connecting to the game? It takes like 3 minutes to go from the loading screen to the main screen, and i am not connected to the game. And i have good internet, and it even shows my ping/connection. Really pisses me off.
