Weirdly enough the greek gods are like never the good guys. I mean they force people to worship them if they don't they take away their supplies. They force eternal darkness rain and thunder upon them or just wipe them off the face of the earth. They impregnate people for no reason and turns them into animals or objects later. Tbh it surprises me that all they wanna do is take over the fortnite island. I tought they'd wanna do much more destruction then that. Also the midas story was actually a myth in greek mythology however the ending is diffrent were Midas put his hands in the lethe river taking away the curse. And then the person that gave him the powers turned his daughter back to normal. Eventually Midas decided to give all his wealth to the citizens. Fortnite took a story and put a diffrent spin on it.
I’m excited to see how Fortnite uses Midas, I could see him having a super clean ending. Maybe after all this time of searching for wealth he will finally give it up for everyone’s safety…. That would be awesome
Also, I’ve never even thought of it all that way- for some reason I always expected the gods to be “good” but never realized what they actually were doing 😂 I think the gods want more than to take over the island, it turns out they want to destroy all mortals 💀

You know, despite being literally the God of Death, Hades is somehow the most normal god in Greek mythology. Yes, he kidnapped Persephone's daughter, but she actually ended up falling in love with him and he didn't abuse her or anything. And compared to what literally EVERY OTHER GREEK GOD has done, he's probably in the top 3 most chill ones.
Too bad media always makes him evil. Fortnite somehow has one of his better appearances, as NPC dialogue implies he values mortals and doesn't necessarily agree with Zeus's genocide.
Kinda hoping this season's "invisibility item" is his Helmet of Invisibility, would be a cool nod to the myths.

If you talk to Artemis in game, she says she respects Zeus as their leader but his quest to destroy mortals is "dishonorable at heart", so... maybe we recruit her later in the season as godly backup?
The Oracle historically comes from the Oracle of Delphi, which was a priestess of Apollo. They haven’t mentioned Apollo yet, Artemis’ twin brother. Maybe they come in at some point? Pretty common in Greek mythology that gods choose sides in a war.

The Storyline is back I mean this is peak story we haven’t gotten this since the IO vs The Seven, Hopefully it lead up to a season end event where Midas and the mortals Face off against Zeus to defeat him

6:28 in the files, they have found around 6-7 volcanos erupting, so what might’ve happened is that Midas touched the volcanos and they erupted, hence why it’s partially golden.

I actually think Midas turned his Reboot card using his severed hand with the curiousity of the time travellors as bait. He knew if he ever died and the Gods didn't know what to do with the island, only bringing one of the most knowledgable of the past can. If he was sealed in the card, he cant end up in the Underwold so he trusted his crew to bring him back in a long drawn out plan.

@@Pbj- The issue is undoing the effect of gold on the card, so if anything, we may actually get a traitor on the Gods side because they already think Zues is going overkill from the dialogue and in Mythology Zues and Hades dont get along. So if anything, I think Hades will help undo the curse just to spite Zues and to stop the damage to the underworld.

Midas ended up in The Underworld cause he got his hand cut off from Kado Thorne which led Midas' spirit into The Underworld.

The Midas NPC has a line where he says that people always get the details of his story wrong, so it's possible he CAN actually control his golden touch, and that that was a wrong detail.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Kado Thorne went to the Underworld and took Midas' hand. I'm honestly thinking he probably killed Midas when he went back in time and took his hand as a Trophy. It could be the reason why he was in the Underworld considering that you kinda have to die to get there. However, I do appreciate the theories and the storyline explanations

I think you pretty much nailed in. Midas died by the shark, and went to the Underworld. In Greek Mythology, Cerberus protects the gate not letting mortals in or out. So, Midas has to sneak through the gate past Cerberus to get out of the Underworld, back to the land of the living. Fortnitemares Midas was basically a dead Midas.
Here's my big prediction though: Midas was a king in Greek mythology. "Oro", in Spanish, translates to 'gold'. Oro in Fortnite wears a crown, and has black/gold edit styles. The Ageless had his own castle. In the comic picture in this video, look at Genos hands. In Greek, ' Geno' loosely translates to ' noble aristocrat'. Every snapshot has one thing in common: greed. See where I'm going? I think they're ALL snapshots of Geno. The big twist down the line will be that Geno was among us, all along.

I feel like there’s a plot hole here since how did Midas come from the underworld if he died in the original Chapter 2 timeline? Wouldn’t he still be alive or did he escape the underworld then escaped with jones without knowing it?

Charlie Wen cooked with this season's story and thankfully voicelines are now back Midas is finally back and also I have a theory and here it is: the Greek gods are angry because Pandora's box was opened and the season will be Mortals vs the Greek gods and Aphrodite will be on our side same with Medusa and Midas will also be on our side and Shadow will be on our side as well and the Underground will also be on our side and if any of the Society members remain then they'll be on our side and Valeria will be on our side and Ares will also be on our side same with Oddysey and throughout the season we are gonna have more people on our side the reason why I think Ares will be on our side is because in a cinematic Ares takes down one of the new guards for the new Greek god bosses it looks like that could just be for the cinematic though as Mount Olympus on the island I'm pretty sure has a statue of Ares

Actually, Greek gods were always seen as bad people. Unlike gods of newer religions, greek gods make errors like humans. They're not the perfect human form. But nice video thought.
