    So many, but I ended up getting a second job for almost three years to dig out of debt and I never looked back. Now completely debt free and saving for a replacement car so that I’ll never have to have a car payment.

    Not starting a retirement account the first time someone mentioned it when I was 18/19. Only paying the minimum payment on credit cards for the longest time.

    Our biggest money mistake was thinking we didn’t make enough to save and invest. We would spend money on fast food online shopping but not a savings or future SMH we thought we will save once we make more, when we don’t have a new baby, once we turn 30 exc. Then we did turn 30 in the blink of an eye and had let lifestyle creep set in. We are a work in progress but the progress is headed the right direction.

    Credit card mistakes😱😱😱. My mom encouraged me to get a Fashion Bug store credit card when I was 18. Never explained how credit cards worked. After maxing it out and late payments, let’s just say I realized my mistakes and have never had a late payment or credit card balance since. I wish basic finance would be a common core curriculum for schools. And to this day…my parents still don’t understand the basics of credit cards🙁🙁

      Omg Fashion Bug 🤭 Same my parents aren’t financially literate, so I definitely had to learn about finances the hard way. It’s a shame finances aren’t part of most school curriculums. As a parent, I’ve realized I’ll just have to supplement my child’s education with other programs. (Wish I could homeschool).

    I got married at 17, he was 22 I trusted him I was nieve. He screwed me over multiple ways during our marriage. After our divorce debt collectors were after me. I had no idea for what? Schools and at home needs to teach children how not to be scammed.

      It's wonderskin lip stain. But it's overpriced.

      I look forward to your next video. Keep up the great work. 😊

    I did not know that I could get an HSA until I retired. I can only max it out for about four years.

    Hi Lydia good to see you. I made a mistake of paying off all my credit cards in 2021 but starting using them again and racked up 5000 or so in debt. Started Dave Ramsey baby steps again to try and do this right. ❤

    My state has a tax of .50 increase for delivery on packages. The taxes benefit a particular city and rural areas suffer

    All types of store cards and a credit card that supplemented my income and also some student debt. I'm not all the way against student debt but I definitely made some mistakes. I couldn't blame my parents they showed me how to live frugally I just felt like I was over it by the time I was an adult.

    Credit cards and especially store credit cards (Express, Limited) Yes, I'm that old. Thinking minimum payments would pay off the credit card.

      It’s made by wonder blade. It’s kind of pricey. But you put it on and let it set for a minute or longer and then wipe off.

    I would love to know where you opened your HYSA, or suggestions please. My credit union does no offer one and it scares me to have my money somewhere out of physical reach. But I really need to do this!!!

    • @TheRealLydiaSenn
      @TheRealLydiaSenn  Před měsícem

      Top-rated HYSA banks are SoFi, CiTBank, AmEx Savings and Barclay. Most brick and mortar banks don't offer HYS. As far as your fear, the money is still FDIC insured and you can get it out of an ATM usually with no fee.

      Yes, it's wonderskin. But just the color not the two step process. It's kinda pricy so I didn't want to link to it.
