Gotta say my wife and I made this for a friend and she loved it. It has been setup in her house for months :) I don't think she is going to take it down LOL. We painted ours white and on the top nub just took an offcut and set another threaded insert in it so there is a "finished" top, and she can hotglue which ever star she wants up there to the top of it... or I am sure she will aske me to make something for it.
Great video!
Awesome!!!
Great!
Thank you, Thank you for posting this. I NEED to build one.
Beautiful job.
Excellent fix for the wobble, I learned a lot thanks 😊
Make it spin !
Put it on a lazy Suzan OR stick the trunk in a rotaing tree base
@@PatriotDIY rotating tree base even more magical
Very nice
I would have to have a glass and an iron gate to keep children, pets and some adult from getting into it, I agree it's pretty unique and Great collection display you have created thank you for sharing with all of us
I set up my village for the first time in 6 years this past Christmas and because we have dogs that would annihilate it so we took a dog pen and stretched it out almost like a fence in front of the village and Christmas Tree. we put some garland on it for a festive look and they stayed away and people could go in through a gate.
I getting ready to make this. I may just use the bottom circle as the base and sit right on the floor. Seems like it would be even more stable that way???
Mad skills & mad tools wow!! Beautiful, clever and easy to assemble.
Ah oui...OK..je suis outillee mais pas assez ...😊 trop beau ...
I love this stand. It would be perfect for me to display my selected village pieces.
I don’t have the equipment that you do to prepare the wood for assembly. I‘m in my mid 70s so would be hard to do for me.
Do you sell finished kits?
I'm not taking orders for these right now. I likely will build more around oct-nov
This is Brilliant!! 😎 I’ve been looking for plans everywhere & I do believe your creation is the best! Do you ever do custom work and it would be amazing if I could order a completed Stand / Tree?? Thanks!
Unfortunately I'm not taking orders for these right now.
Great job. Nice work and awesome workshop
Love it
I want one 😊😊😊
Might want to search for the Router Lathe video at Bourbon Moth woodworking. Jason did a great job making a solid 8 foot round piece there.
Nice job!
Bueno no entiendo inglés pero entiendo lo que hacen sus manos 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love it. Very professionally constructed. How much did you charge? I'm planning to have one made.
Nice!
Bonjour .oh j adore , c est avec une défonceuse ou une scie sauteuse ? Je veux le même 😂..trop joli ....
I love it
I don’t have a table saw to rip down the sistered 2x3, do you think a 2x2 (actual 1.3x1.3) would be sturdy enough?
I don't think that would be sturdy enough. If anything I'd go bigger rather than smaller
Gotcha, appreciate the info!
Really like your content. I really liked your miter station you did. I actually bought the plans and it went together great. Good job!! Merry Christmas
Thanks!! I'm glad you like it!
What made you decided to round over the corners of the post as opposed to just leaving them square? Was it a looks or a functionality decision?
Looks
I like that idea,
how thick the plywood is that half inch or 3/4?
I am pretty sure it is 3/4”
I know I'm just seeing your video I know it's a little late I would like to have one of them scans do you sell them
I would like to purchase this
How long are your hanger bolts?
I love it but I was wondering if it's big enough on the bottom to put the Polar Express train on it? Is there something different that can be used on top instead of the wing nut I was thinking I could put my church on top but not with the wing nut on it?
You can make the shelves any size you want to fit your items.
And you could use a regular nut or a T nut in the top shelf instead of the wing nut.
I wonder how much it would cost for you to ship me one 😍😍
Do you sell these already made and if so, how much? I could even sand it and stain it myself and put it together? I subbed, real nice work.
I have but I'm not taking any orders for them right now
@@PatriotDIY Oki thank you for replying🥰
I never thought of using PVC pipe it is much easier to do the holes for th discs.
Pvc just isn't sturdy enough, it also doesn't look as nice
Bello trabajo , necesito uno en mi casa , cuanto es el precio ?
Where do you run the cords for the lights?
If you want to do that just Drill some 1.25" holes through each shelf
Would you sell one of these finished as a kit and ship flat? I like the option of putting it on a rotating tree stand.
unfortunately I'm not taking orders for these right now
How big is the plywood you start with?
You need a 4x8ft sheet! Circles are 36", 30", 24", 18", 12"
I don’t have all the tools to cut the circle woods.Anywhere I can buy those circle woods?
There's a link to the circle Cutting jig in the description. But if you're looking for precut circles I'm not sure. Maybe Michaels.
I was wondering if you could make it square but then you still may have to cut wood. I may try a two shelf one.
Is it done with 1/2 or 3/4 plywood?
3/4
How is the garland attatched
However you want, command strips, staples, hooks...etc
@PatriotDIY Thank you wasn't sure what would work the best
Your first try with the T nuts kinda failed, is it with the threaded insert nuts really more stable?
Yes because it allows the shelf to be flat against the trunk, then just crank it down tight
Great, thank you ❤
Great, thank you ❤
Looks good unfortunately when it’s time to put it away it must take a lot of space. Shame but thanks for showing your wisdom 👍
No, since nothing is secured permenently, it's designed to easily break down into individual pieces for storage.
Apparently Steve didn’t listen to you at the beginning
Couldn't you countersink the threaded T nut?
You could, but the insert nut work better
How much did you charge her. I'm not that handy . would you make one for me?
Shoot me an email thepilotpatriot@gmail.com
Did you come up with a kit price?
Unfinished
@@GashRipRock I've built 2, charged $400 each
can you make me one pleaseeee???
I wish I could but I'm not taking orders for these right now
How much if you build one
Shoot me an email at thepilotpatriot@gmail.com
I saw a nut/cap on the top section. Rods all the way through? That's how I would do it.
No, each section of the "Trunk" has a 3/8" threaded insert nut in the bottom and a 3/8" hanger bolt in the top
@@PatriotDIY 13:03 Ok I saw the wing nut. That was what made me think it might be all the way through.
Can I purchase this?
Ask him.
@@bradyreynolds7205 already sold! But I could build another. Where are you located? Email thepilotpatriot@gmail.com
how much did your lady pay you for this?
400
To me ,,,, The wingnut on top killed the overall look of the project ,,,, Might want to search for something decorative for the top ,,,, Just my thoughts ,,,, But a very nice piece
P panic
I I'm scared
N nautuce
K death
Why would you upload a video tutorial with issues at the end? Are you for real?
What do you mean?? This is my own design, You will not find anything like it or a more professional-looking version anywhere else on the internet!
But yes, I showed my entire process including the one design alteration that I made along the way. The only change I made was to use insert nuts instead of T nuts and I Noted that very clearly in bright white and red writing on the screen when I reached that step, I also mentioned it again at the end of the video to clarify.
Would you prefer a DIY CZcams channel that pretends every project goes perfectly, or do you want a real person who shows you the good the bad, and the ugly?
If the video is not acceptable to you, why don't you buy the plans linked in the description, which gives you the FINAL design.
