I'll be going all out for this "final" season. Haven't been pulling my leg enough in the previous seasons (mainly CC7, 10 and 11 because those were honestly piss easy) but this one actually looks to be a bit more challenging enough for me. Enough because 50/50 I'll retire from gameplay soon after CC12 ends. For anyone else attempting high/max risk, best of luck to you!
Everything after 5 felt really easy. I'm not sure if that's b/c account progression or what. I needed to borrow Ceobe for 5... and since then... I've never used her again and faceroll everything.

Honestly, while I never really tried for max risk or anything, I really will miss CC, not necessarily for the gameplay, but how the community all comes together to hype it up and have a good time.
I've been preparing a lot for this. Figuring out CC#10 R28 on my own made me feel really good, and I'm looking forward to going for high risks again for the last time!
Damn after all this years playing Arknights. Always getting all medals in event, but never tried getting point more than 20 in every CC available up to this point 😢
I'm genuiny surprised that you say risk 18 was the hardest out of any CC, when it felt quite the opposite for me. Enemy HP up, Ally HP down and either of the class bans felt more than free if you don't touch atk up and put defenders in all 3 lanes (Def-focused in bottom lane, Res-focused in altar lane), to the point that Shining could soloheal all 3 lanes without a sweat while keeping S3 for Red's

I am very thankful for your videos, I usually only play games very casually but something about Arknights makes me want to keep improving.. this will be my first CC and I still got a few ops I need to E2 before im ready, so it will be fun to see how far I can get. The whole thing about thinking more about covering niches then just raw power has been one of the most helpful things for me and it feels like its helped my planning get better in general. Did not pull for Yato alter because her kit was not that fun to me, half my friends list got support Texas alter (I began playing around the time of Il siracusano) and saving for Lonetrail since that banner has multiple possible 5 stars I really want and cant otherwise get so...
A shame CC is leaving. My account is not super built atm, I'm still missing key ops and I still have a ton of masteries to do, so I never really had the chance to try hard with it.
As far as specialist, Dorothy is an MVP here as well due to the crowd control and slow with her traps that can go all over the map. Some guy did a two op risk 18 with her and Yato Alter. I also used her in my personal Risk18 clear.
I'll do everything I can to get Risk 18 this time (or as close as I can), but the only pusher/puller I've ever built was Gladiia and that's so I can use her module for abyssal squad. I don't do well in shifting / stalling gameplay and I'm not fond of high-challenge modes, but I guess this is the last time to buy stuff from the CC shop so I should get as much as I can right?
@@Finnecable that's very unfortunate i can't help. But at the very least you got warfarin, she's the strongest single target medic and best attack buffer beside akk or skalter even though she is a 5*
Shame I missed out on CC as a gamemode. I only just recently got to a point in the game where I'm prepared to be taking it on properly, and now it's going away. Course, it's probably for the best for the game, since a lot of people have mentioned it's been getting stale lately. Best they try something new.

Shamere also works great here. I've been using her in every team i can along with skadi the corrupted heart to both burst/survive avenger and everything else

always build blemi. especially if you have defenders with offensive or defensive recovery. As Blemi when deployed gives them the other one doubling their sp gain.
ah yeah, though the red risk for avenger boss officially only risk level 3 but it's considered as the honorary level 4 risk so if you do max risk(34 ) without it, it's not really a max risk also by picking that red risk your clear page gonna get a neat special background

Is there any limit to the amount of checkpoints the boss can set for itself? Can I cheese it by simply getting it to set, like, 500 checkpoints and surely I can deal enough damage in that amount of time without any need for other stallers

Does anyone know what will happen to CC store goodies? I skipped some CC's and tbh I have not bought any of those 6* potential tokens and some 5* tokens left but I want to clear them but the rewards clearly aren't enough since most ppl (also me) spend on materials since they are just as useful.
they won't go anywhere but you won't be able to get more CC currency anymore once you have get all reward from CC12 and all first time rewards from dailies map.

The checkpoint explanation is confusing me a bit. I understand it in principle but I can clearly remember examples of it not existing, unless I am dumb and dont understand the concept properly. For example, for the second CC, there were some enemies that had a straight path to the blue box and the strategy was to push them up so that they go on the burning tiles(now the shortest path to the blue box). But according to the checkpoints, they should have gone back to the original tiles. What am I missing there? Before this video, I had assume that the enemies had a programmed path towards the blue box and if the path becomes unavailable(Roadblock or debris) or if they get shifted, some path finding algorithm would give them another path towards the blue box, probably one who finds the shortest path.
I think that in the specific stage you are speaking of their first and only “checkpoint” was the Blue Box itself, so that's why they didn't care which path they take as everything was considered “out of bounds” anyway.
@@peterdenov4898 That makes sense. I guess a lot of normal enemies just have a single checkpoint so thats why they always took the shortest available route to the blue box.
5:39-5:47 : boss can't use charge at ops past the checkpoint, hence he doesn't bumrush wildmane But isn't Wildmane on the boss' path to the blue box? Does the boss need to first clear all checkpoints prior set to then set a new one (if that was the case, defender+shift wouldn't work though)? What I think I understand is, team SG added more pit stops to the red dude's eventual path to the blue box, on which wildmane now lies on. Does he actually set a checkpoint on wildmane, but because he hasn't completed the prior checkpoints, he doesn't dash straight to her?
Also in 12:15 of team SG's clear, the boss rushes straight to Surtr after reviving. Checkpoints don't seem to get cleared since the dude walks back-and-forth the 7 set checks in phase 1, so why does he rush Surtr?
Probably just keep them at E1 unless as you have the materials for their skill masteries and know how to stall using your pullers in your team. Rope is cheaper to leveling masteries but she lacks the wider range that both Gladiia and Cliffheart have as well as the stun that Cliffheart has, so using Rope as your only puller will be much more difficult.
from what I have read. CC is getting stale and boring for veteran pplayers. they have already solved some of the challenges of CC. So HG ends it while its still remembered as a good game mode. And yes, a new game mode is made to replace CC.

I'm not ready for this boss. I've seen so many videos of him obliterating operators in 2-3 hits, and that's without the bonus attack from
most strategies ive seen involve stalling with with slow and movement speed reduction rather than blocking him directly so that's one way

For example, for the second CC, there were some enemies that had a straight path to the blue box and the strategy was to push them up so that they go on the burning tiles(now the shortest path to the blue box). But according to the checkpoints, they should have gone back to the original tiles. What am I missing there?
Before this video, I had assume that the enemies had a programmed path towards the blue box and if the path becomes unavailable(Roadblock or debris) or if they get shifted, some path finding algorithm would give them another path towards the blue box, probably one who finds the shortest path.
I think that in the specific stage you are speaking of their first and only “checkpoint” was the Blue Box itself, so that's why they didn't care which path they take as everything was considered “out of bounds” anyway.
@@peterdenov4898 That makes sense. I guess a lot of normal enemies just have a single checkpoint so thats why they always took the shortest available route to the blue box.
I ve been upgrading my ops for max risk for a cpuple of months now
When i finally leveled up my ops they decided to stop making cc’s
5:39-5:47 : boss can't use charge at ops past the checkpoint, hence he doesn't bumrush wildmane
But isn't Wildmane on the boss' path to the blue box? Does the boss need to first clear all checkpoints prior set to then set a new one (if that was the case, defender+shift wouldn't work though)? What I think I understand is, team SG added more pit stops to the red dude's eventual path to the blue box, on which wildmane now lies on. Does he actually set a checkpoint on wildmane, but because he hasn't completed the prior checkpoints, he doesn't dash straight to her?
Also in 12:15 of team SG's clear, the boss rushes straight to Surtr after reviving. Checkpoints don't seem to get cleared since the dude walks back-and-forth the 7 set checks in phase 1, so why does he rush Surtr?

Hello new doctor here, should I e2 rope and manticore for this event?
Probably just keep them at E1 unless as you have the materials for their skill masteries and know how to stall using your pullers in your team. Rope is cheaper to leveling masteries but she lacks the wider range that both Gladiia and Cliffheart have as well as the stun that Cliffheart has, so using Rope as your only puller will be much more difficult.

from what I have read. CC is getting stale and boring for veteran pplayers. they have already solved some of the challenges of CC. So HG ends it while its still remembered as a good game mode. And yes, a new game mode is made to replace CC.
