Amazing last mission. This game needs a sequel. Since that may not happen, I think we can guess how the war ends. Several possibilities: 1) The defeat of the Soviets in America, may force the Soviets to open negotiations with NATO. The campaign was a disaster, and now they are in a weak position. 2) The loss of so many military forces in America has weakened the Red Army so much, that NATO may push through their defenses in Europe and finally force the Soviets to admit defeat. 3) The Soviet people back home may have heard about the disastrous campaign in America, if they don’t believe the propaganda, there may be protests and civil unrest demanding an end to the war. The USSR is taking heavy losses and their economy is close to collapse.
Well if you dont forget the Chinese come as allies with the soviets so we may see a chinese invasion to USA or around pacific which would lead to continue of the war.Possible if there was a second game we would see the asian and probably middle eastern theaters but most probably would end to a peace negotiation by both sides and noone wins
@@sovietturtle9881 Don't forget, Colonel Sawyer said the Chinese do have a strong military, but they don't have the ability to land troops in the United States, it would be a logistical nightmare. The only way China could invade is if they had help from the Soviets, but because the Soviets lost Seattle and took heavy losses, supplying another invasion is out of the question. You're right, if they do make a sequel, it might be focused in the Pacific, Europe, Asia and possibly the Middle East.
Well the Soviets still control the half of Germany and is still in a bogged down stalemate with both NATO and Soviets doing raids (as seen in Norway and Northern Russia missions doing deep-strike raids against each other) and since China is now allied with the Soviets it would most likely bolster the morale of the Soviets and make the Sino-Soviet alliance a propaganda tool. It’ll be most likely become an extended Cold War if they signed peace treaties but it just possibilities like you said. Hell, it’ll be a Soviet victory if the Soviets launch invasions around the coasts of Western Europe like the invasion of southern France. But hey, we can recreate WiC in Wargame: Red Dragon in one of its scenarios. If we ever going to get a sequel of WiC, I hope it has more Theaters of War and both NATO and Soviet perspective with a NATO or Soviet victory. If Massive Entertainment ever considered going back to RTS and took a break from The Division stuff that is.
Biggest unanswered question, but I guess as Alec Baldwin voicing his memories of the invasion some time in the future, I would suggest Parker was a soldier first, and thinking about his family way, way in the back of his mind. All he could think of back then wasn’t his family, but fighting the Soviets on home soil and surviving.
Excellent game. Brutal mission. First time, took many many attempts just to break through. Many RTS games the difficulty comes from the nonsense of AI. But this game tests your ability to react and plan. The entire fire support mechanic is uniquely applied in this game. I've never seen anything like it elsewhere.
Maybe the developers for World in Conflict should do what the Freespace people did and release the source code for the game so people can make their own mods
