- Been thinking about this one for a week now so just wet and did it
4 8's that ive had for while now, in a 90l box (after displacement) and tuned at 42hz
These little things hit pretty dam hard, and they even play fairly low

sick build!, would you mind telling me a good way to calculate a box volume?, i've just gotten myself a ground zero gzrw 300spl and i'm not quite sure how to calculate the box so its about 60L of volume, Thanks Beforehand!
I got 4x8" setup also. Gladen rs-x 8" subs in about 85l box tuned 32-35hz. 1ohm and amp is gladen rc3200c1. 2kw to subs. 143db in the windshield 😁
yeah ive been pretty impressed with what 8's can do , but tuning in the 40hz's so it hurts a little more but im lacking a bit is the lows, but the next build im doing will fix that :)

Do you mess with much Rockford Fosgate gear?
ive used it in the past, only had the Power series amps and there were really good, also had some punch subs they were ok - Rockford is just BS expensive in Aus for what you get (much cheaper in the US), thats why I've switched to Focal and Alpine

Great build, but Port size is very specific, if the area of a port is too big or too small it can make Port noise.... are you sure you did the proper calculations for this?
yeah This box was designed on winISd and there's no port noise, the triangle looks a lot bigger than it is work out to be around 10sq inches of port area per cubic ft
Hey mate, awesome box :-) it's amazing how the little 8" get down , I'm about to do a stealth box in the missus new accent. It's getting whammed with a soundstream 500w rms 8" on an option audio 800 rms on 1 ohm. I'm keen still to catch up mate, I don't have insta but am on fb , what's your email or can I get in contact on fb? I'm looking forward to doing this box as I'm fibreglassing the back side into the side of the boot, with mdf face plate. I haven't worked my volumes out yet but it looks as though I can get what I need. I'm going to try some stuff on the 12volt.com tonight to get a starting point for volume and port lengths :-) :-) cheers buddy :-)

How the 8s compare up to the sundowns you had in there, musically?
the 8's dont play as low as loud but they probably sound better and tighter than the SA-s over all frequency's when running off the same amp I think I like the 8's better, if I was to run the SA-s on more power I might change my mind

@@BrainztormProductions yup still do, it was recently replaced buy a Sundown X12. But I plan on putting the Xcon back in.
@@jaz97 I have a gen.1 XCON 12", about to recone it with ZCON v2 soft parts to make it a hybrid.
I considered an X series Sundown at one stage and was curious as they seem to move a lot of air but there aren't really any good vids doing XCONS justice.
What differences have you noticed between the 2 eg. lows, efficiency, characteristics after break-in?
