- Corsair released the 4000, 5000 and 7000 series of cases, and while they were well received, a lot of consumers wanting the glitz and glam from the X range of cases, with the cooling performance of the D Airflow models. Could the new iCue 5000T RGB from Corsair be the best of both worlds, and then, at what cost?

What do you think of the new iCUE 5000T RGB case?
You are the only one enjoying it for free unlike us so nothing to say here
I just bought one tonight actually.
Lovely, but just far too pricey.
It's a great case, but not worth that price. even steep for $250 USD
@@Tycubecrafter Its worth it to me!
I don't feel like the price is terrible. The Commander and LL fans cost $140 so minus that it's a $259 case. Considering the built in RGB, their straps are $45 bucks, it's not as bad as it seems.
Don't forget the 60$ price tag of the commander xt as well. So around a 200$ case
Seems like the price is right heavy 32 pounds of metal ,3 RGB fans in comes with , built in RBG strips, control box/pluggin for RGB ,big, built great!
I just bought this for my 4090, 14900K, 360 AIO so I can fit 10 fans in it. Love the look of it.
It is stupid to have the cable side panel in glass, it is supposed to hide the mess not show it, I think Corsair nailed it having a steel panel on the cable side!
Good things come to those who wait, I just got this case in white brand new for $125 from FB, and I'm so excited to transfer my water-cooled components from the aging Thermaltake P5 to this gem.
This review was really enjoyable to watch, great presentation style and well informed commentary. You also hit many areas that others have not. subbed
Honestly I’m a big fan of Corsair products, but after trying both the 5000x RGB and 7000x RGB, I ended returning both for a Lian Li O11 dynamic XL. While the 5000x had some nice features, I practically had to strip to its core to fit in an EATX board. The 7000x fit my MB, but it looked clunky, cost a fortune, and I could only get two of the fans to work. Not to mention both cases were difficult to build in and things like an inside metal door that doesn’t close, and a partial cable shield just added more headaches. The T version looks nice, but even more expensive than the 7000x. I know material costs have gone up, but $400 for a case is ridiculous.
Hows the airflow compared to the 5000D and the 5000X?
Constructive feedback subscriber request: Just about EVERY tech video build review/suggestions I have seen, from any tech news channel, is on "BUDGET" or "VALUE" or "SMALLEST POSSIBLE" - BUILDS. Can we PLEASE see some "TOP OF THE RANGE" and "NO BUDGET LIMIT" - BUILD suggestions/reviews? What is the top of the range cutting edge, with the best possible performance, HUGE case, unbelievable custom loop water cooling, etc.. that is possible at this time?
Brilliant video review 👍 I would quite happily buy this case without all the expensive rgb gubbins.
Sad part of the shipping container cost problem isn’t material cost it’s people using them for houses as soon as it was know you could make an affordable house out of them the price went skyrocket regardless of supply
i just finished mine last night. just need some stuff for all the RGB to be synced.... 900% worth the money
If the 5000t is too expensive, just get the 5000x. Better case in my useleas opinion
one thing thats kinda bother me with these newer corsair cases is that they get bigger but still has no emphasis on 140mm fan. be quiet and phanteks cases smaller than this have 140mm mount mostly anywhere they could
Ya it does acecpt E-ATX boards but its disappointing it wasnt really fully optimized for them
They're copying the coolermaster mesh case with that PSU area being on display like that. With the same issue... It's not long enough so cuts of the watts number.
Just wondering if the 3 fans at the side where installed if the front cable cover inside could be used as a scoop to direct airflow on to the mother board ? and also if there would be any improvements top temp?
I've got 5000D at the moment but i was expecting a case like this to swap. Why? I've got Rog Thor 1200 and its a bit dissapointy to didnt have psu shroud cutout to show it. By the other hand the 7000d its too big for my taste. Its hard to find a case that match with Rog Thor with psu cutout and upper holes to breath (in my opinion a really bad Asus decision to put screen view with fan upwards)
Hello, will i be able to add more LL120s fans to this case without buying anything else? For example 3 more fans. Dont i need to buy separate controllers for them or i just buy fans and connect to the stock core xt controller? Will i be able to control all the rgb and speed on 6 fans with stock controller? Thanks
this case looks almost exactly like the silentbase 802 change my mind
It also looks alot like the phanteks p600s but bigger and has rgb
The case looks awesome but that Palit Gamerock tacky GPU ruins the look completely.
There are sponsored segments and then there is THIS sponsored segment. This is too epic too handle!
400 but the fans are 120 and the commander pro is 70 so that nakes the case around 210
Brought 4000D and very happy with the performance…
Can you make this without it looks liks a party ? without rgb ?
The biggest thing I can see why it costs so much is because of the commander pro. In Canada the commander pro costs $100 at my local computer store. I have the 5000D Airflow and I might as well just buy some rgb strips to get somewhat the same effect of this case. It is to bad too because this case looks awesome
True, but there are other factors at play, like shipping costs and raw material costs too.

Even with the added controllers I am not sure the case will be a huge grab in the market. I want one just to say I have it, other than that I cannot sell it in a RIG it brings the price up to high. Good review though mate.
I got ten percent off at Corsair so that helped can't wait for it to show up and finally get building.
Off topic. But has anybody figured out how to get ICUE to recognize Corsair dominator DDR5 ram ? I’ve tried all the fixes I’ve found. With no luck. I have an Asus Z690 hero with bios version 1003. Any help would be awesome.
Go to reddit, everyone knows the answer there.
It’s Corsair. You should’ve known that it was gonna be pricey.
it is a very good case and i currently have the corsair 680x rgb and would not bew getting that case as the price
How much in Canada ?! I was thinking of taking the 5000x, but this one catches my eyes
take the 5000X it is much better value and more tested and reviewed
@@vypGMD this should perform similar it’s not like the actual case changed it’s just more RGB and a better hinge.
Guys does the 5000x have a good airflow plz answer
i hope they do this for the 4000 series. its a nice case but is it $400 USD nice, not sure
its only mid tower I would go with the cooler master evo 700 for only $100 more and get a full tower
I'd rather take the 5000D. I like the "plain" and "simple" look.
Yup and you could add the RGB to it if you want.
It's not the price that bothers me, it's the lack of RGB.
Yeah, it’s just missing something 😂
😂🤣
Corsair consider themeself "RGB king, the Master of RGB"...
Lian Li: "Hold my beer, kid!"
na my lian li armor suit pc 80 from 2009 at least has aluminum panels, for the price you get nice steel case well done corsair :D
I want a case I can do push pull air on a CPU and GPU aio radiators. Would this allow it?
It should fit depending on the thickness yes.
@@eTeknix I'll book my appointment with the bank tomorrow to remortgage the house. Thanks for the reply!
@@eh1vx haha. But you won’t need any form of lighting. This is much better than light bulbs.
@@eTeknix you're a genius! I never calculated the fact the Mrs will save a fortune on fake tan!! Cheers!!
@@eh1vx glad to be of service :D
This is cool but is a significant downgrade from the 4/5/7000D series, because we now have a mesh front which has less airflow. And all thar rgb is excessive, too.
750 Watt enough 🤔
Its like 20 Euro per RGB spin.
Nice video thanks. Although I have to say that GPU is hideous.
Lol that gpu is too close to the side panel! Cable management of this case is a bit crap. Ill stick to my linli evo case far more better than this case.
WHAT IS THAT GPU????????????
I'm in love
5000X QL edition is much cheaper than this with 4 fans in total. Not worth it. Rather wish they did a 3000D ATX case or similar.
Only 120hz bruh 😂 why not get the Samsung Odyssey G9 with 1000R arching A combination of QLED, HDR1000 and DQHD resolution 240 Hz RapidCurve, 1 ms response time and G-Sync compatibility it’s Maybe a little bit more expensive but it’s worth it
I think it costs 500
400€? 🙄... My O11 Dynamic XL is 200% better and costs 200€ less 🥳
No it isn’t
@@aidentheriault6220 Yeah, it is! I had 4000D, then 5000D and after both O11 Dynamic XL... Try this case and you will be happy with GPU temps, with lot of space and nice look ❤️
Ah yes!! Stuffing the biggest mobo in mid tower...
Still has a ton of room even with a massive board inside.
I think the case costs damn money
super
hi,Andy.Could you please reply to my message for Asgard?
507 CAD, plus 100 in shipping on average ... pffffffft. Hard pass
if you want to see your GPU burn go on and mount it vertically in this case. it's such a joke what they designed here
Nice but too expensive.
that looks terrible you should of water cooled the graphics card and put a proper loop on it what a let down
take that dust filter off the top its an exhaust it doesn't need it as it will only increase temps
Holy cow... Its expensive. People.dont buy a 400usd gpu now we see a casing with same value.. F***
I can buy 7000 case series for less
too much lgbt lights
So they slapped another $200 for those light strips? lmao
Did you just put a 3 slot gpu on that $hitty vertical mount 😂😂😂
Pc debest
Top expensive, leave the LLs out and I'll take it
What fans would you put in instead?
lol that's not expensive! that's cheap!
Don't like it. It's too much money, too much RGB (the led strips around the outside are tacky) and actually the useable space inside isn't that big either. Normal 5000 airflow a lot better in every aspect.
See, I really like it, but the price is offputting. Sadly, so much of that is out of Corsair's control with shipping costs and material costs.
Even the O11 Evo with fans cheaper
@@cj7073 the 011 evo is a response to the 4000 series.
@@TheSjuris both are different price brackets what do u mean response?
@@cj7073 wonder why Lian-li decided to put two fans on the front side. That and the side location for the PSU are the 2 differences.
