Other then fake streaming numbers the 4th gen girl groups are not that different. Their album sales are almost all on par except Aespa.

The main Reason why nmixx Is a "weird" Group is because nmixx stands for Mix There making the group a Mixx of different Styles
Not every girl group will be like Newjeans or IVE. It takes time. Just calling a group with 1 year a flop is not fair.
It take's time if you aren't under HYBE, YG, SM, and JYPE debuting in these company will garuantee 100% success and when NMIXX was announced the whole kpop community where excited that a new JYPE girl group was gonna debute and the song "Tank" was promising from the trailer but JYPE fumbled so bad that the debute song was changed to O.O a Coca-Cola ad, and they didnt even release the freaking music video for "Tank" which turned off so many people from the group which resulted in less and less hype for the groups upcoming music releases which sent them into Kep1er level popularity and song wise which is bad 😭

I think JYP was too greedy when they debuted NMIXX, they should have wait and focus on well managing ITZY and giving them the spotlight they needed. Now they have two groups with crazy skills and potentiel becoming basics in this huge industry, where other agencies like Hybe are debuting big groupes like Lesserafim and New jeans and their future groupes from their tv show "R u Next", or even YG with Babymonster. I think Itzy and Nmixx are the saddest story in JYP.

@@pedrodominque beside what people think hybe knows how to manage many groups because the production is divided in different sub agencies, and they are good with promotion and yg are debuting a group 7 years after his last one, blackpink. So they really tried to give their groups opportunity to became huge with good songs, not many comeback and strong concept. Jyp concept for nmixx and itzy aren’t good and well define you can’t really see the differences between them and their music is getting worst every comeback and that’s make me sad because this two groups have really good artist in it, yeji and Riyujin are really good performers, as well Lily and haewon are the best vocalist under jyp but their talents is waisted …

Whether or not they know how to manage many groups in the long run is still early to call because they bought out companies like Source and Pledis that already had teams with experience in managing those groups. Same with Big Machine and Quality Control. That’s way different than just starting from the ground up with establishing subsidiaries. JYPE the main Korean branch has 3 active gg.
JYP Japan (which is a separate company) has 1 - Niziu And JYP USA is going to have 1 A2K.
I’m just saying that’s what all these companies are doing. LeSerrafim and New Jeans just debuted and HYbE is already planning a new American group and the R U Next group and apparently another group. You would think that with the major success of their groups they would ride wave and continue to develop them, but they’re also already chasing the next thing like JYPE. YG is also planning BabyMonster but they’re also trying to start something in the American market too.
@@pedrodominque I agree with you about the development of the groups when they are already debuting others. But My point about JYP, was to show how they have good groups but they still counting on twice for the good music and global chartes. They aren't able to give young groups a good place in the industry. When they debuted Itzy, they were supposed to be huge, now there is too much competition for them to handle it. And it's normal for companies to debut groups as much as they can to be relevant and to grow bigger but they could have wait and be sure that Itzy got the best spot before to came out with a group that has a lot of similarities with them. With Hybe it's kinda different New Jeans got a success that's going to change the music industry in Korea, their promotion and management is crazy good.
To me the industry is evolving really fast and Jyp is trying to keep it up but they are in the wrong path and it puts their groups at risk...
I don't think they're "ruined" yet. Its been such a short amount of time since they debuted and its not fair to say they flopped. Not all the songs of a group have to be trending all over the internet for them to be considered successful. Im sure they're still exploring and discovering their style. Im also sure they'll have some bops in the future just give them some time.

Especially since I just saw a video criticizing blonde hair on idols and her comments were “makes her complexion look too dark” “Seulgi’s very Asian features only suit jet black hair”. People just praised the idols instead of saying how crappy the comments were in general. This channel gets away with too much. It’s so gross. She doesn’t think. This comeback still has a mixxpop. It just that it wasn’t that heavy much of a mixxpop as it has something to do with the lore which is Mixxtopia. Mixxtopia is a world where they can be free from reality. And in Mixxtopia there are a lot of places for them to explore. It just like every place is a different universe. In o.o and dice they have a heavy kind of mixxpop because they change completely from one universe to another universe. Unlike party o’clock, there’s still a mixxpop but you can’t feel it that much because they didn’t change their universe. Yea you may say that this lore explanation doesn’t make sense but still in the end of the party o’clock mv, there’s a hint about what will happen in o.o universe.
If "Love me like this" is still Mixxpop just because it mixes rnb and hiphop... Then by that logic, almost every kpop songs is Mixxpop.. which means there's no such thing as mixxpop to begin with... it's just normal kpop sound style... kpop music are widely known to produce a kind of sound that mixes different musical genres and styles after all... like mixing hiphop, rock, rap, rnb, ballad, country, classic, etc. into one song... I don't and have the time to provide you with examples because almost every kpop song does that... they add and combine different musical genres and style into it .. making it entirely pointless for jyp to create a whole group revolving around as if it's so unique or a very new idea... "a new musical invention" Lmfao... what they are doing is not unique... almost every kpop groups and artists are mixing different musical genre and elements into their songs... What makes Nmixx's mixxpop "unique" back then from all the other experimental kpop songs who also mixes musical genres was that nmixx wasn't very "subtle" about their mixing.... it was a bold and clear "in your face" kind of mixing... That was what made them stand out as a group... now that they have gone "subtle" with their mixing.. They no longer outstand from all the other artists who are also combining different musical genres to their songs... They are basically just doing what any other kpop group and artists are also doing... "subtly" mixing and adding of different music genres into into their songs to blend it perfectly... So Nmixx has in fact "fallen off" musical-wise... They have already lost their original identity... I'd say O.O. was just plain horrible... But the fact that they really improved with Dice makes me so disappointed that they basically just gave up then and there... they could've just keep up with their mixxpop and I strongly believe they would improve with their mixing in the long run.. just like what happened with dice... There has been some kind of slight improvement... and it kinda sound a bit good and listenable... but they decided "fvck it, we are leaving this. on to the next thing. This is not working for us. let's just do whatever everyone is also doing." and then release "Love me like this"... A normal typical sounding kpop song... nothing experimental or special at all... Just sounds like your everyday normal kpop song.... Doesn't sound bizarre which was what Nmixx's sound originally was... So yeah, just admit it... they have lost their sound... their musical identity... stop being indenial... They drop the very idea because it did not work for them immediately... They gave up wayy too fast after having the guts and the sheer audacity to be copying the idea from SM Entertainment and claiming it as their own (even giving it it's own name "Mixxpop" lmfao 😂)... They have already started it. They have already put themselves into this mess.. they should just have dealt with it and master this kind of musical craft as it would help them improve at it in the long run... but no, they decided "I'm dropping this" just on the second try... They did not realize that it took time for SM Entertainment to master this kind of musical craft... And when they decided to try it out... You'd assume they will also be following SM Entertainment's footsteps by taking time to master this kind of art... but no....The minute they realize they are not getting that much success and money from it, they dropped it off immediately.... Goes to show JYPE is only in it for the money and success... they don't care about creativity at all... They only care about what sells.... They jump from trend to trend and copy ideas from other companies that succeed in the kpop market so that they could also capitalize from it... So that they could also have a taste of the sweet sweet success and money that these companies are getting... But the minute they realize it didn't work for them, they will drop the idea of immediately without a second thought... They just care about what sells and gives them lots of cash... So they jump from trend to trend... After trying to copy and capitalize from Aespa's success with Next Level... Now they are unto the next big thing... Long and behold! New Jeans...

Actually group synergy is really important, I just discovered this recently(I'm new kpop stan😅so dont judge). My two ult group bias are Twice and Le sserafim. They both have different concept but they draw people in that no matter what genre of music you like they can make you bias and listen to their songs. Twice synergy is perfect because the girls personality and skills complement with each other that they will not overshadow the other member similar to Le sserafim. Le sserafim to me is the perfect group put together because they overturn their situation of losing one member, instead of losing popularity they gain more. Other than their music, concept or company their balance personality hook me more to them.

NMIXX being a flop is a stretch. Sure they're not pulling New Jeans or Aespa Numbers but 95% of the KPOP groups out there would kill to be doing as well as NMIXX. I mean a Midsummer's Night Dream album sold over a million copies in its first week. My favorite KPOP group Dreamcatcher would love to be doing as well as NMIXX. It seems to me that there are a group of people just trying to tear down every JYP group. If it wasn't for JYP artists I would barely listen to KPOP at all. About half the KPOP music I listen to is from JYP artists. Most of the other songs I listen to are from groups from smaller labels.

I’m very sick of this channel. Especially since I just saw a video criticizing blonde hair on idols and her comments were “makes her complexion look too dark” “Seulgi’s very Asian features only suit jet black hair”. People just praised the idols instead of saying how crappy the comments were in general. This channel gets away with too much. It’s so gross. She doesn’t think. She says some offensive shit and it’s making me soo mad. Really has some horrible opinions but act like the majority of K-pop community agrees with her. It’s really wrong. This is one of the worst channels i have seen. BeBossTV definitely comes off more harsh because she doesn’t show her own face.
I don't think they are flop, but compare to the other girl groups, currently, from the same company, TWICE & ITZY, yeah their numbers ain't great but they slowly getting their. But also coming from a Big3 company. They do have a huge advantage.

Just a comment on - each member performing separately - doesn't seem true IMO. They are not New Jeans, so I don't expect them to give the same vibe and if there was a slow start, it doesn't matter, their discography continues to build a considerable repertoire of music and dance.

i think they 'flop' because 1. their "mix pop" is too niche yet not refreshing (it's been done many times) 2. the members lack personality and dull -- apart from the overly-promoted ones Jini & Sullyoon and the internationally famous one Lily 3. some members really lack stage presence, zone out and disappear on stage 4. questionable styling 5. lack of synergy like this video says -- Lily's robust, western styled vocal doesn't add much to the group but is out of place instead 6. gen 4/4.5 is too competitive

great video actually, i had the same thoughts but ofc not allowed to say it out loud. other things i think is that JYP really destroys lily's visuals, shes actually pretty but they seem to dress her up and make her hair to make her ugly as possible. strange (maybe its the white skin washing that doesnt look good with her features). from day 1 i felt sullyoon stood out uncomfortably, she could go solo. nmixx 's strength is vocals but sadly vocals are in the shadows of kpop right now.
I think JYPE could have done better in creating a more harmonious synergy for the girls? And I also agree about your point toward Lily bc the fact that they let her rich R&B vocal cover a song like Miss You 3000 didn’t really make sense at all…
I despised the people who makes videos like this one, all for views or money ughhh without considering thorough research. Ya'll literally labeled NMIXX as flopped? just because other groups are way faster in terms of success. Nmixx has GROWTH and they are slowly growing, this is what MOST people are missing out, which is seeing the positive side. I've been a fan of NMIXX since debut up until now. I've always been observing their growth on their albums sales, charts, youtube views, followers or subscribers, fandom growth, music growth and I can tell that they are doing pretty well, yeah they don't have an enormous impact compared to other 4th gen k-pop groups however I'll mention it again THEY ARE GROWING! and that is NOT FLOPPING!
Yeah and it always irritates me when people call sullyoon super gorgeous and call the rest of the girls “backup dancers”. ALL of the girls are gorgeous, some fit their countries standards more than others but beauty is subjective.
Idk ever since “Boys Like You” from ITZY came out, I think JYP has lost their touch with ggs. I just think the company doesn’t really care anymore unless the artist or artists themselves have their hands in the work and even then the care feels more so from the artist or group themselves, not the company. Too many perception and criticism in one video. Some even straight up just hated comments. Being put together from one to others, creating 'massive negative POV' to the group. Apart from that, hurtful truth are said. Highlighting that JYPE are chasing big numbers of goods, my jaw dropped. Never once I ever imagine while supporting TWICE to heard that words. Never it crossed my mind to ever think the possibility, but yet all of over thinking comes when though about NMIXX. Its like saying, I'm only targeting your money to make my company alive and running. It's only possible because JYPE itself has their own supporters, but NMIXX itself are like driving under fog
Nevertheless, JYPE need to realize they're losing base, group identity to the none stan. Hard pill it's indeed. Not many people have time to actually look at the data and numbers, most people are common listeners. Another hard pill is JYPE became from 'trend-setter' to 'trend-follower'.
One way JYPE could do is to empathize their strong vocals and dances is by doing harmonies in their songs while stick to the mix-pop concept in the songs and throwing the multi-verse concept away without throwing classical themes in their album concept. ENTWURF is a good example of what I'm saying, I love every songs from the album. and I DEMAND IT FOR MORE.

TBH, I will say the fashion part and the the vocals- even the departure of Jini, was very traumatizing for me. Jini was one of my Ultimate Biases and it just really broke my heart to see her leave, even if she had strong reasons to leave, I don't blame her, but just that feeling about her as the "ultimate", I'm still crying off and on.

The first one is there sudden cincept change like okk o.o was bad and dice or tank were mehh but they should stick to there real concept .there newer songs are just so boring and bland . The other reason is there is so much competitio n in 4th gen girl groups oike itzy ive newjeans g idle or le ssera etc and then the sudden news of jinni lefting nmixx like it was just so random .
