  • proof of concept for multicamera playback inside Resolume Avenues.
    the goPros are shooting 1080, but the final comp is only 720, so we can zoom in/out and pan/scan the cameras. hidden stationary cameras could have moves on them with no need for a camera op.

    He's using GoPro HD HERO2 cameras with Blackmagic Intensity Extreme Capture cards. You need a newer MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt ports to do what he's doing as the capture cards utilize Thunderbolt.

    How did you automate the changes. Does it remember you button pushes or did you have to program by inputting time code length

      This was from a few years ago, but if I remember correctly... I am just triggering the column and everything else is on timers. So using the Autopilot feature on each layer, and then timing the camera shots by defining there length in there settings. The text was all just 1 video rendered out with an alpha channel. and then the video on the bottom was just looping the entire time and only showed up when it wasn't covered up by other layers. Hope this helps.

    I just found you could use iPhones instead of GoPro without cables. All you need with Resolume is the Syphon plugin ;-)

    If I wanted to use 3 GoPros as live feed for Resolume, how could I send the signal to the Macbook? BlackMagics only have one input right? Would I need 3 different boxes? Is there a box with 3 inputs or more? Thanx!

    So if you're using both Thunderbolt ports as inputs, what would you use to output your video?

    can you still output to a second display/ projector ? while having the black magic installed ? Also is the black magic using thunderbolt or usb ? Thanks for the video !

    • @CrowdControlGames
      @CrowdControlGames  Před 10 lety +1

      the Blackmagic is Thunderbolt. Resolume sees the Blackmagic as an input. You still have all your regular outputs (HDMI, thunderbolt, DVI etc...)

    It seems you achieve what I was looking for ;-) I have one hdmi camera, one black magic intensity extreme and a MacBook Pro with 2 thunderbolt ports. I was wondering if I could connect a second camera through a second Black Magic Box to my Mac. Is that right?

    Thanks

      thanks +Keith Chia, so only via black magic... ? can't do the GoPro direct with Thunderbolt cable to a Mac ?

    • @nomeencuentro
      @nomeencuentro Před 8 lety +1

      +Sea of Art Productions I learned tht with HDMI it is not possible because the HDMI of the mac is an output. So i would believe this answer goes also to the thunderbolt question.

    • @CrowdControlGames
      @CrowdControlGames  Před 4 lety +2

      BlackMagic Mini Recorders. Gopro>HDMI>miniRecorder>thunderbolt>MacPro
      Don't recommend the GoPros they add too much latency on the HDMI out.
