It's a 2" rough country leveling kit with Bilstein 5100 trailblazer shocks and struts and 245/75/17 hankoook dynapro atm p rated tires on stock 17x7 Chevy trailblazer wheels, no spacers no trimming.
Looks good! Recently got an 06 4.2l Trailblazer. At first I hated it (driven many loud, gas’s guzzling pickups before). Not a car gal. But these cars are actually pretty nice! Good on fuel too. Threw on some 265s on mine and it looks a lot more aggressive. They’re quite tight but don’t hurt anything. After putting in a new thermostat, cleaning the throttle body, and new alternator, it runs pretty darn good for a I6. Also took that trash can of a resonator off the exhaust and just put a 45° tip on it. Sounds better and looks better! My fiancé also bought me awesome speakers since only ONE worked in it when I bought it. The fancy after-market stereo that the people put in it before I owned it couldn’t even get a use out of it LOL. I hated the thought of owning one before, but they’re slowly growing on me after owning one!
I've driven like 60,000 miles on mine since I got it and I'll tell you they're incredibly reliable and are great whenever you're moving across the country every 6 months lol
I got the same tires for an 04 Trailblazer, there amazing. I get a little wind noise around 40 mph. But nothing a little music won't cover up. Getting the leveling kit next and some side steps. Gonna keep this one for a little while . Any new videos or updates? Have you noticed any differences after the kit ? Anything I should look out for ? Really interested since I'm on the same path. It for an 04 4*4. Luckily I got that dark blue Chevy has that I really like
I've been pretty busy with work lately but I've got a few video ideas I've been playing with the idea of but those are all tba. For updates I'll probably make a video sometime soon with my first rotation/next oil change, and as far as things to expect after the lift I can tell you now that I had about a 2mpg drop and a little more wind noise but I still get about 20 highway and that's to be expected with lifts and bigger tires.
Cool thanks man, I'll def post a video of mine when it's all done. You can find cheap side steps on eBay btw. Went ahead and got mine for 110. I'll put them on after the lift. And there but bulky looking that's why I bought them
@@bertoj6189 I figured I need all the ground clearance I can get (plus I'm like 6'6) so I decided to forgo them but I'll be interested to see how they'll look on yours
My trailblazer is stock (I have it in videos on my channel regarding a trailer build) and mine looks the same height as yours. I’m 6’6’ so I would love a little bit of a taller height.
I have the same lift for my 2006 lt, I was wondering do I need to compress the front springs or does the levelling plate just go on top of the strut mount ? And do I need to compress my rear springs as well ??
Probably about 2.5 inch In the front and an inch in the back, with these trucks the main problem I'd that front end is just too low to do anything real with it stock so leveling it out really helps keep you from getting hung up of bottoming out on anything
@@Saw_Squatch I do like how in the video the truck was alot higher and I wish gm would have make it higher coming out of the factory. Did you ever get upgrade shock and struts for truck.
They're the only Mt's I've ever had but honestly I was incredibly happy with them, they're really quit for a mud tire, never got stuck in them or even close, handled as well as that truck could lol, and for the price they really seem like a quality tire and I would recommend them to anyone
So that size will probably not be doable bone stock or even necessarily with a ball joint mod. I think it would definitely require spacers and and would probably look better with a lift kit too. Check the Trailvoy forum for the exact details but I believe 31.5" is the max tire size without spacers.
They don't rub but it's maybe half an inch or so of clearance by width and probably right at joint level on height so if the tire was this height I wouldn't be able to make it any size wider and potentially if it was a higher/deeper tire lug it could rub ever so slightly but from what I have heard these joints are like snowflakes and each one is just a little bit different so this this the recommended "max safe" tire size
@@chase7537 I think it was worth it too, stock it's almost too low for 4wd to do anything, this way you not only get a better looking SUV but one that can actually go places
@@Saw_Squatch for real man whenever i take mine on a trail which is stock your always worried about hitting the bottom the 4wd itself is pretty solid though
@@alextovar7762 I can only assume that it was set up for 2" since that's the right of the lift and and what would give factory levels of down and up travel. Sorry I can't be more helpful on this one
Nice job staying away from the 1993 through 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees. Those have a fatal safety flaw that has been exposed in rear impact crashes, and Chrysler’s “fix” is just a trailer hitch which does not protect the tank in high speed crashes.
$90 on the lift and these exact shocks run around $100 a piece so MSRP for this exact setup is about $500 but I searched around for sales for a couple of months to get all of it cheaper. Plus you can get a lot cheaper shocks I just went with the nice stuff
Yeah the accepted max tire size under the control arm a 30.5 inch tall tire without wheel spacers to clear it and I opted for no wheel spacers for now because of money reasons so "max" stock
@@adrianalmaguer1088 typically I belong to the party of lifting and putting big mud tires on anything 4x4 and tasteful lowering on 2wd occasionally. But for you it mostly comes down to what you'll be doing in it, you can lower with big rims without as much fuss as lifting and spacing for anything bigger than 30.5" tires
bcperry15 if i raise it what kit and wheels and tires should i put? But if i lower it how big wheels or tires can i go see heres the problem you know how this cars the back is a little bit lifted then the front and i want to level it out but idk if i lower it or lift it but i like the way yours sits for sure
Hey looks great! I did a 2.5 in the front and 1.5 pucks in the back of my 02. This is exactly how they should have came forsure.
Looks just perfect, will do this to mine

I am running 265 70 R16 on my 06 with the same lift.
Did you have any rubbing?? Did you have to trim any plastic??
265/70r17 on mines with no issues and I do unthinkable shit with my truck
I have the 255/70r16 now but i was looking at 265/70r16 at stock ride height 2005 Trailblazer. Will they rub?
Did the rough country front lift had two screws holes cuz my 06 has 3 and wondering it that one would fit.
Honestly I couldn't tell you off the top of my head but I think 2. If it's the same lift it should work just fine
I have the same lift for my 2006 lt, I was wondering do I need to compress the front springs or does the levelling plate just go on top of the strut mount ? And do I need to compress my rear springs as well ??

It fits in case anyone was wondering.
why did u put on caption 245 75 17 when the tire size says 245 70 17?? i thats confusing
