- A very enjoyable evening spent at the beautiful station of Kings Sutton on the Chiltern Mainline where we see plenty of services from Chiltern Railways, Cross Country, Great Western Railway and freight from Freightliner and DB Cargo UK.
Kings Sutton didn't have a station opened until 1872 even though the line through the village had been built from 1845 to 1850. By 1881 the station had become a junction station when the Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway via Chipping Norton was opened, the line stayed open to passenger traffic until 1951 when British Rail withdrew the service, however the line remained opened for freight traffic up until 1964 the same year the station went back to being an unstaffed halt which was how it used to be. During the 1960's British Rail removed the bridge linking the two platforms together and instead built a foot crossing at the north of the station which you can still see to this day, however you can't use it. The foot crossing was in place up until 2005 where a passenger had a very near miss with a passing express train heading to London. Security guards were then brought into place to oversee the crossing but that was short-lived as the very next year a new footbridge was built.
My next rush hour film will be from Leighton Buzzard on the West Coast Mainline.

Whilst you were admiring the cat, I was feeling sorry for it having to wear that thick coat in 20+ degrees, thumbs up Jarred, beautiful weather and you're absolutely right about it being a wonderful village, something about it being a country station adds to the beauty, keep up the work.
I think she would be alright, whilst her fur was pretty thick she actually felt very cool when I was stroking her, there is plenty of shade around the area so she can stay cool if needs be. This is a great station to come and one that I never get bored at
Famous cat 😺🐈😺🐈😺
Those 168s are probably my fav sounding DMU.
Those 68's are the almighty god and sounding good but I can't tell a lie, I do love them even the Freightliner class 70 ;)
The 68's and the 70's do sound amazing
Yet again a fantastic video despite the fact that there was a shortage of freight.
train vids and more There was some about 3 minutes in mate
@@ukrailfreightclips7217 well at least he still had a few silver sets.
@@ClaretBlueTrainspotter he got 4 silver sets including 68010 'Oxford Flyer' one of his best stalker ever
Suoerb video and those Class 68's sound fantastic. :)
Thanks very much, it was a great evening
Gotta love cats that was a beaut. Great vid as well considering that you were unsure of the the amount of freight that you would’ve seen
She was a beautiful cat, I loved the evening here I caught more freight than I thought I would
Great choice putting the Bridge back. Great little Station and another smashing day! Light on Labour but still what an amazing film those 68's wow, just the sounds alone where Top Shelf, don't get me started on the rest (Poor Cat) Bloody heat. Pure Professional Bruv, thanks again for your works! B.P.
This is a great little station to come to, sometimes you can get lucky with the freight but no two days are the same.
Luck was on your side. Thanks again for sharing it! B.P.

She most certainly is!!
Fantastic video absolutely enjoyable. Yet again you were in 68 heaven and to top it all off a Freightliner 70 burbled through. I look forward to the next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, the CML is a great line to go to because of all the variety that you get
I do like your videos very much
Another Brilliant Video Here Tornado922! I really Enjoyed this :)
Thanks very much
This channel never has many dislikes like most channels do witch is good I hope it continues like this I hope the subscriber number continues to rise for this guy I've been subscribed into January 2017 and the reason people like this guy is because the content is basic and normal witch is good no stupid long overdone intro or autro.
KEEP IT GOOD DUDE😂👍
Well thank you ever so much for saying so that really does mean a huge amount to hear that
Sadly couldn’t be here to film with you but excited for Leighton Buzzard. Great video!
Also you caught my stalker, 168215
Hopefully next time round we will be able to get something sorted :)
Brilliant video. Was checking through your stuff and I was planning on visiting Kings Sutton in the not to distant future, just to see what it's like. Thoroughly enjoyable
Thanks very much, this is a great station to come to and one that I highly recommend during the rush hour period
Great video
Thanks very much
I was somewhere in Bedfordshire where I saw some east Midlands trains And Thameslink Services on the midland mainline and one of the EMT Services I saw was the former grand Central HST
that would be normal
Superb video as always, I'll have to pay Kings Sutton a visit some time soon!
Thanks very much bud, I highly recommend this station it is fantastic
Huddersfield has a very well known cat if you film there. They keep her indoors at the weekend though due to all the drunks on the rail ale trail between Dewsbury and Stalybridge. Good video and nice to see 4 68's. We may get them working out of Liverpool on TPE one day if we're lucky!
The cat in question is called Felix ;) I'm sure I will go there one day :)
Correct. If you do venture to this neck of the woods again then the 195's have entered traffic. There's still Pacers knocking about though to keep you happy!
Oh joyful.......
Great video there Jarred especially with the 68's and freight. You'll have to come up and do a video if you can at Warrington Bank Quay Stn soon. I've found out that the Flying Scotsman will be passing through on Saturday 20 July pulling the Northern Belle, travelling from Carnforth to Crewe. If you want a time, it will be round about 3.15pm.
thanks very much Paul, I will hopefully be going there in a few months time as it does look like a great station to go to
It is mate. Plenty of traffic coming through and no shortage of freight either. There's the nearby Arpley Yard and works as well so you'll be spoilt.
Brilliant video tornado
Thanks very much
168218 was one that went up....same damage on leading and trailing...
Nice video👍
Thanks very much :)
Direct rail services is part of nuclear decommissioning authority, they operate by running freight for supermarkets. They also operate several passenger lines on behalf of the Train operating companies.
I know :)
I'm not sure if you already know but there a crossing just round the corner called worm Leighton crossing something like that and it's meant to be a great spot to film at check out SMILEVIDEOTRAINS channel he's been to that spot before
Hi,you should livestream at some stations
I will be at some stage
Trains and a cat. What more do you want?
I was in heaven haha
Can you go to Preston on the 26th of July because I am going there
I filmed there yesterday unfortunately
I will be arguing the toss with a couple of TOCs that operate services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton on what must be one of the busiest 2 track railways in the Country (possible video from you at Sandwell & Dudley?). I will be asking them to pressurise NR into putting back ALL the 3 and 4 track passing loops to mainline standard as so many trains lose time on that particular section. A video may highlight some of the problems - how about it?!!!
I can certainly do one for you!!
@@Tornado922 Brilliant!
0:09 you missed out great western railway
0:58 he caught it later
@@agent00x you are awesome
0:09 /0:58
Are you ever going to go to Cheltenham spa? Great vid as always
I will be going there later this year
Tornado922 aha okay might see you there
Is it me or are chiltern trains up to spec and tidy with their livery
It's a good livery to look at
What’s a rush hour
Means there's more trains I think.
Aidan Trein Tram Metro en Bus rush hour is when the majority of people finish work, so this results in more services and quite often longer trains!
train.spotter.south thanks mate
@14.51 now the cat has his own "Furry Feature" Film!!!
I'll have to make regular trips back!!
@@Tornado922 On another note i have read that parts of Europe have been in the midst of a heatwave with temperatures in France and Spain reaching the low 40's not sure how hot it's been in The U.K but all i can say is i have sympathy towards all of you as i know only too well what it's like to have days as hot as them Jarred. But i found the clip very interesting to watch the highlights have to be The Class 68 hauled silver sets.
@@DKS225 Europe's been getting hit hard with a horrid heat wave for about 2 weeks now. The UK hasn't been to bad, there's been a few days where the weather has been pretty warm but certainly nothing life threatening
