  • Hello friends! On this adventure, we are going to head over to Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas County, Florida. We'll look at shells and also some other really neat wildlife at two of the park's beaches - East Beach and North Beach.
CORRECTION: Fort De Soto is a County Park, not a FL State Park
More information about the park can be found here: www.visitstpet...

i went snorkeling at the exact place you were at in clearwater like a week ago and found two giant horse conchs a ton of lightning whelks and a gopro! there are so many shells out there you can’t even see the sand. if you ever decide to go back you NEED to swim there it will change your life

Thank you so much for the great feedback! It can be tough sometimes to meld the music in, but to me, it makes the experience! Though I will admit, sometimes it's nice just to hear the waves!

Another beautiful video. That was such a cool background when those kite surfers were back there behind you. From another comment maybe you need to snorkel there next time. Thank you again for making your videos.

...loving the shells with barnacles on them, although I would be hard pressed to keep any of them as there might be barnacles still alive...still pretty to look at, though...

Really enjoy watching your videos. Just a little tip put a bit of sponge over the microphone it will help cut down the wind noise.
    Happy shelling 😎

Just a small correction: Ft DeSoto park is actually a Pinellas county park and not a FL state park. This is my cousin's favorite beach when she comes here from St Louis. When I moved here I went to see it. Only went to the east side and was disappointed. Didn't know the north beach was so different and beautiful! You can usually find sand dollars, but shelling is generally not as good as Honeymoon Island State Park. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the call out...I should have known this - I have been to Fort De Soto many times. I realized my error after exporting my video.
      Thanks for coming along!

Hi Jordan! I have heard that there is great shelling on some Texas beaches, particularly on South Padre Island!
As always, I am happy to see you coming along for these shelling adventures!

Not a State Park but a County Park....there is a difference.
