So, this is the furthest siren ive ever gone to currently. Planning on going back next summer with JAsirens hopefully. Thats basically it.

Glad to see a current video of this siren. The original one I saw was from 4 years ago. Good to see this siren still up and running and not replaced.
This is a different one. Abilene has three of these that were originally from Topeka.

I’ve never seen a conical intake on a 500 before. Sorta weird to see once i process the image in my mind. XD. Nice video too!

@@Siren1000T1 yeah the dundee 500 had a pretty fast rotator. No wonder! Thats why it was rotating so fast. Thanks for the info. What a slip up from federal signal. Its a good thing this 500 has the right gear inducer.

Why would they test these every Tuesday? Here in MI they get tested once a month on first Sat of the month at 1300 local time

They are pretty much the same except the tone.
The simple answer is the 10/12 port ratio... if it’s 10/12 port it’s going to sound like an XT22.
