- We (Shonai Peanut) had a indoor flying meet on 10th July 2012.
I asked Kaz Suzuki to make some video of Mig-15 which we built over 20 years ago.
It's exactly 20 years since we started of this rubber powered ducted fan project.
Kaz brought his Mig-15 to the flight location!
We were very worried about model's condition but she flew safely and so well.
His model data 20 years ago:
model weight 5.3 grams
rubber weight 1.6 grams
rubber width 2.3mm
rubber length 340mm loop
rubber winding 1500 turns
We started this project in April 1992.
Kaz took part in the Shonai competition in 1993 and 2001.
Best time was 28 sec.
Best flying ducted fan I've seen. Congratulations!
