Personally the movie is way better than the show due to the show tearing apart the books. But there are some actors who are perfect for the characters.

i love a lot of the tv show but it doesn't capture the atmosphere of the book as the movie did

I really love the series and the films but lily Collins is better as Clary Fray. Kat McNamara don’t play good she too excessive in the emotional scene. ( it’s my opinions and sorry for the English I’m french )
