    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

My brother and i are top level diagnosis technicians. We have both been instructors at the different companies that we have worked for. I quit a company that was paying me 70 to 100 thousand a year because they wanted me to steal from customers when they didn't need the services they were trying to push. Now i work for an independent shop. The owner came to my house to speak with about biring me and my brother because his come back rate was at 60 to80 percent. When we started working for him we brought that rate down to 10 percent. In about a year and a half we are going to retire and start our own business.point is that we have dealt with bad management at differt companies all our lives and we have gotten to a point where we Are just tired of it.

    I quit Costco wholesale after 12 years with the company. The management team was so toxic, they completely lost the standard. Nobody was held accountable for their actions. Good hard working employees were not valued.
    It was building wide and company wide. I had enough of the nonsense.
    Life is too short to deal with incompetent, gate keeping "managers", many of whom antagonize their employees, rather than provide support.

  • @BeYOUBloom
    @BeYOUBloom Před 26 dny +3

    I cannot stress enough how important it is to value your high performing team members and the ball is often dropped in the unwillingness of CEOs and top management to express it. It is also their role to remove the weeds especially in leadership as power in ill equipped hands results in losing great employees. Longevity and loyalty are not direct correlations to effective leadership. Exceptional leaders cultivate talent and activate their employees’ strength based assets by creatively finding ways for those assets to be applied in any role. This results in employee job fulfillment and satisfaction. It is why it takes literally no extra money for an employee to jump ship but a pretty good increase for them to resign if they feel valued. In defense of middle management, they are often put in these roles without proper training and are the most stretched thin having nothing left to develop their teams. A proper training and mentorship in vitality leadership and positive leadership could mark a significant difference!

    There are leaders and there are managers. Some people are both, most people aren't. A significant percentage of people in management roles have absolutely no leadership qualities. Some people who have leadership qualities choose to not be in management roles because they don't want to put up with adult crybabies. Only a small percentage of people in management roles are both good leaders and good managers.

    It's a natural conflict of interest. In many workplaces a manager is paid to squeeze more work out of an employee and improve productivity. That's how they get a raise. They need to justify their high salary by proving their worth, which is highly based upon how much they can squeeze out of employees. An employee usually gets a small raise at the end of the year regardless of performance/productivity in many cases. Naturally, employees will get agitated at management because they know they are being used as tools by that manager who needs them to work harder so they can make more money. The employee sees little, or no financial gain from their improved productivity but the manager does. The system needs to be reworked so it is not naturally conflicting between management and employees. How can you expect good morale when a natural clash like this is built into so many workplaces?
