Yes, definitely it has impacted the results of the match. The time they changed the ball, Mathews and Kamidu were batted so well. As soon as the ball change happened, swing came from nowhere. It was hard to bat after that. Now this is the second time same story has happed in the same country and the same brand of ball as you said. So, I think time to reconsider ball changing law.

I struggle to understand how after the last Ashes incident did not change things and that in this day and age there is not an array of replacement balls available with say 1 available with 5 or 10 overs usage differences. i.e. 5, 10, 15 and so on overs usage.

It needs to be looked into , it clearly gives advantage to the home team
Simple solution. Visiting team can request to use a different brand of ball. It is interesting that the company is now owned by an Indian origin man. Could it be that the quality of the materials/workmanship has fallen?
