This happend to me but we were long distance. He ghosted me right before graduation. No warning sides it broke my heart. But then God told my parents to move to Oklahoma anyway we did. 3 years later I met my husband ❤That God picked out.
I'm so thankful I never ended up with that guy. He ended up losing his faith hurt his ex wife. The same girl he cheated on me with. When I found out they were married I was happy. I warned her before he never changed. It's extremely selfish to run away it will always catch up. God won't let you get away with hurting people. Even if they were raised differently there's right and wrong.
Girl dates boy for 6 months. Boy leaves to live with birth mom without telling anyone. Girl suffers for 5 months, thinking he's dead. Girl is hurt when she finds out he just didn't care enough to tell anyone. Dont waste your time.
I started watching this movie about 2 months ago, when 20 minutes in my phone died. I tried to find it again but I didn't remember what it was called. God led me to this movie again ❤️

I love this movie; it was a great reminder to me of God's love. I cried though many parts. In the beginning of the movie, I was about to turn it off, but I decided against it, and I'm glad I did. I learned so many important things, mainly, I learned about trust. You should never stop believing in God just bc a loved one dies or is lost. It led me closer to God. I'm so grateful for such a loving and gracious God.

This was a good movie based on the book written by Brittany Goodwin who had the opportunity to write and direct this movie. An author's dream come true.

This was a really good movie. Brad was in a difficult place. But for him to honor his Mom said a lot about his character. Life can hurt, but God, He really is good. She was right, Brad was broken long before she was. We can shed our past but it takes time. We can forgive ourselves while we do. Thank you 4 this movie.

I'm going through a breakup with the person I thought I'd spend my life with and as heart broken as I am I know God led me to this point for a reason! The end really spoke to me and now its my turn to rediscover who I was before meeting him. Learning to trust God in every season is the hardest but I'm still going to trust in Him 🙏🏽💯 thanks for this movie.

not the normal love story but a good story about love and how we all handle problems that we feel are unhandable. I read a lot of the comments and some many people were disappointed in the ending but if we really take a long and hard look at ourselves we have done a lot of bad decisions in our lifetimes. remember kids do dumb stuff and we all have to make mistakes to grow up. I feel he loved his real mother and wanted to be there for her even when she couldn't be there for him many years ago. she did give him a good life with the adopted parents and so he didn't want to hurt them by leaving but he know his birth mom needed his forgiveness and love at the end. I hope I have explained my feeling but to each their own. God Bless.

Right. I did not like the ending either. If she truly loved him, she would have gotten over it & forgiven him & run back into his arms. He told her he still loved her. I think she blew it & would regret it the rest of her life. Awful ending.

This movie made or gave me just a hint of how painful it is when a loved one goes missing.I cannot begin to imagine what parents go through when a child just vanishes.

This movie puts things in perspective : I went though depression my self and it’s a really dark spot you don’t want to be in I was scared that I was going to lose Jesus when I redacted my life to him I was so scared to lose Jesus that I went in depression where I would lock myself in my room and close out every one and scream at people who entered my room and I would sit next to my window and be cold and my feet would get purple and cry out to the Lord and for days I would cry and get my name tagged on Facebook with pictures of me and my friends at church and different church activities with people saying that I was a joy and a blessing but I was still in a dark spot and didn’t listen to those people and my friends and family were worried for me they kept asking if I was okay and then finally the Lord helped me out of it and I started laughing and having real joy again the Lord is there even in the darkest days that you have and he will restore you you just have to let him and trust him 3>
It sure was an amazing movie. We must trust I the Lord at all times knowing, that he is the only one who loves us without measure . We can’t depend on nobody else because there is no one like Jesus

I don't like this Brad guy. Who does that to the people they say they love. He had a choice. At least the integrity to tell the people he loved that he was leaving. Being in a hard place does not give us the choice to act mean and hurt others as if their feelings don't matter.

Maybe the message is even we lose the one we love most and even when they turn out to be less honorable than we thought, God is always there to help us process it all and see us through.
We learn in this movie to tell the truth no matter what, it will set you free from hurting others, and yourself. . His family was so good, and loved their adopted son, they would have excepted his mother, and tried to help her as well. People can make mistakes, but if they don’t learn from them, they will repeat them. We can love more than one person, i am certain that the people he left would forgive him, and it doesn’t make any since that he did not even try. The brother could of stayed with the mother, no excuse for him to hurt his family that raised him, and his girl friend as well. The problem is we don’t do it Gods way, ♥️
These are my thoughts, also. The flaw in the plot is that Brad's character could have easily kept seeing his girlfriend and his mother would probably have really liked to have her visit.

Hi, yes I actually have to agree with you about myself being upset with this boy for not calling & saying I am fine but. . . No, he just took off and didn't say anything until he was found by Lily & he heard that he would have not been judged and still be loved but again I guess this boy like many of us, first we act out of fear & then wait for the shoe to fall sort of speak. I have mixed feelings about him not saying anything especially since he was hearing her messages re concern ugh definitely a good movie.

This movie is absolutely so powerful sometime it’s so hard to let go same time it’s painful, I was going thru some situations in my mid and late 20’s and now I’m 37 at times do reflect go back to my 20’s I realize it’s one of God’s learning experiences of introducing of learning how overcome the barriers of having relationship with a girlfriend, fiancé and wife, and forgiveness. I’m single now but someday I’ll respect my wife and not thru her under the bus, thanks Christian Movies and CZcams! 🙏🏽😊❤️
Superb acting by such young adults. Thank you to God, the writers, directors, producers and all the people who acted in this fine movie. Thanks for sharing it. Everything that happens to us from childhood onward affects ours lives profoundly. When we just use our emotions instead of the Lord, we take wrong turns or suffer too long over things we could have given to Him earlier. I speak from my own sad experiences. Love is actually the greatest force on earth, how Lilian held on for such a long time and never gave up on finding Brad, even when the police and everyone else gave up. But thanks be to God that she didn't completely ruin her life/future in the process. This is why maturity of age is very necessary before falling in love, so that one can actually be logical and balance love with objective reasoning, to avoid losing oneself in the process.

Great writing, directing and an all star line up...Forgiveness seems to be the keyword from all the posted comments and I'm not a Bible pusher in any way but The Lords Prayer comes to mind clearly "....forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..." If there were a Superbowl for movies, this one would be my pick!
That girl never knew anything about her boyfriend's past to begin with. She's too busy mourning and getting upset for everything. It's not about forgiveness it's about acceptance. Family and friends should be there for each other no matter how good and bad things turn out to be. We cannot let the past get the better of us we must accept it and others story too.

Praying for you. I'm in a similar situation and even though he's alive it still feels like I'm dying on the inside. God knows what's best and I am trying to find myself while letting go.
It's not the easiest thing, but you have love live your life and love again, it's possible you may even find a much better person.

A well-written, thought-provoking movie. My only quibble is the way Brad's mother is described as "willingly" giving up her son, and that she "chose" drugs over him. Given the way the story plays out, that would have been a very hard choice. Addiction is a terrible thing.

This movie was amazing. I really felt it in my heart. Though I couldn’t relate to exactly what happened in it but I was able to understand the lesson that was taught. One thing I know is we can never fully understand everything that God does but His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. The Lord sees what we don’t see. (And even though that might be a tough pill to swallow but it’s true. And only if we will consider that truth, will we find healing). God bless🙏

It’s impossible to have a healthy relationship if psychologically we’re unhealthy or broken. We have to get help first, also the future partner also does the same. Most of us magnetized the same dysfunctional family member who mistreated us or whom acculturated us in the past. That’s why we have so many dysfunctional marriages but they were teenagers so even us adult we’re good at hiding who we really are. Bc we have not accepted how we were brought up. Fortunately my husband loves me no matter how bad was my upbringing or how ashamed I was about me and my past he accepted me unconditionally.

Can we believe in Brad's conversion or his love for Lilian? Love is more than a feeling. It involves consistent action and behavior. True love makes us do right by God and our neighbor (Romans 10:13). She did right to dump him. Whether in friendship, courtship, marriage or business, it is unwise to partner with a man to whom truth means nothing.

It's a nice movie and even Lilian been through so much after Brad's gone she still find in her heart to forgive him. I just think that Brad didn't really love her that much as he say, also he didn't give much of his mind what the family who raise him think and feel after his gone, all the pain, worry and everything he put them through. He should say sorry and it was just a text or call away. Lost time and suffering from his disappearance would be avoided if his just been honest. I understand his mom is sick but the way he left and made her so miserable thinking that something bad happened or that he’s dead was not okay. I would leave him too.
Loved the film and the music 🎶 🎵 so glad she found him towards the end even though they at to tell each how they felt and friends and family were affected also.

In this day and age with all the technology, even if you wanted to be with your mom where was the care and concern for your adoptive parents and friends. One phone call was all it would take. This was a selfish act. If your mom was so ill how cone she was dressed to the nines at the prom. Yes we must have compassion but it is a two way street
2023 january 15, 01: 35am.God showed me this movie for a reason.The past few days have been hard and I've shut everyone out of my life .Today I'm ready to cry , share and laugh with them again.
Beautiful movie that dragged on to long. But I am grateful that he is alive. I do understand his behavior towards his mom which was connected to all the feelings he gad as a little boy when he needed her the most. Sadly, his choice hurt a lot of people. It goes to show how terrified people can be of how others may react, or confrontation. One phone call from him would have made the difference or if she had told the truth about where he was when she last saw him. But they all have to heal.
And with a little time, this couple would have healed & they could have gotten together again. I did not like the way it ended.
Was a good movie, definitely thought provoking. God does work in mysterious ways, and shows struggling people in different walks of life. Things aren't always as they seem either, what people often assume can be proven wrong. Understanding comes from different perspectives as well, doesn't always make it easier but helps bring clarity which restores sanity when everything seems crazy and shattered.
Watching this movie helped put some things in perspective for a few things I'm going through as well. God speaks in many ways, even movies too at times.
Its hard mourning someone still living, especially when you lost part of yourself in the process. It's ok to let go and let God, it's ok to rediscover who you are now after losing parts of yourself along the way. And it's ok to pray and love for those lost in that process too, but it's important to love yourself enough to let go, let God and live the life He made for us.

What a great movie, a little on the long side, but overall I'd recommend it! I was not expecting that ending! But so glad his disappearance didn't remain a mystery. I like how it ended...Lillian went through a lot, I think it was right they wrote her character to have to take time to figure out who she was without him. A part two would be interesting!
