At last!!!! ... A great demo of just a bit of what the EK50 is capable of .... This board is the BEST value entry board EVER produced ... Amazing...I just love everything about it and so easy to use..... Well done Luke sounds great!

I've owned many boards and at first found this one hard to figure out. The manual is pretty bad too. But suddenly I "got it"

I love this keyboard! I am in duo playing 80's music such as OMD,
Erasure and such like. We can load it up with midi files and off we go!
No need for drum machines and sequencers. Fantastic!

I have a KORG KROME (WITH ADDED SOUNDS FROM DAN STESCO) Also a YAMAHA MODX7--& a ROLAND VR09 .I recently added this KORG EK50 .This synth is well worth the $$$ as it plays along with you ( not the other way round) It is a lot like having a ''BAND IN A BOX'' EXCEPT IT CAN'T PRINT OUT YOUR MUSIC AS ''B.I A B'' DOES. GO FOR IT MAN YOU WON'T REGRET IT AT ALL---(P.S. --NO I DON'T WORK FOR KORG. LOL.)

How are the sounds in real Marcos?

La korg ek50L ha' 87suoni in più e qualcos'altro ecco perché costa un po' di più tutto il resto e simile alla EK50

GREAT DRAW BACK, SET LIST IS ONLY 4 REGISTRATION, COULD HAVE INCREASED TO 8, WE CANT USE THE INSTRUMENTS INSTATNTLY MORE THAN 4 IN LIVE PERFORMANCE. DEAR KORG MANUFACTURERS PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL IN FUTURE VERSIONS.

I got one and I can't even get the sound you started with. I like your sound but mine is hardly that full
. If I hold down one key, and play other keys at the same time, is there anyway to make the initial key sound not be heard until any other keys that I'm playing are released?
Currently if I hold down one key and play others, the initial key sound can be heard... However is it possible to have it not heard until the other additional keys being played are released?

Looks like a great value arranger keyboard. If I midi in from another keyboard will it still operate exactly as if I was playing directly. Can you mute any track in the arrangement, e.g bass
Wow!! Does the EK50 offer either a Mellotron strings or choir patch?
After 2.9 update I have a problem with headphones. There's barely output sound on them.
Speakers on keyboard works fine but soon as I plug headphones in... nothing.
Before 2.9 was ok, so I have no idea what's going on.
And btw I tried everything possible to fix it, but clearly it's a software bug.
Anyone with this problem on EK-50?

When used piano+strings along with sustain pedal...strings keeps on sustaning..so next when I play other notes ,old string notes and current merge and very unpleasant to hear
How to avoid this?

I've same keyboard.. Korg Ek - 50
Suppose if i have a usb with 1000 songs in it.. is this keyboard will allow me to connect that usb and load those mp3 songs.. because i have read somewhere that it will take usb with only 99 mp3 song.. so please give clarification
As far as I know the limitation of 99 is to load usb styles into user memory. I have this keyboard and the songs of the usb read them at the moment, the limit is the capacity of the USB, I do not have as many songs as you but I do not have that limit that you comment.

The keyboard isn't sensitive to velocity when i play with it, is it normal ? If someone can say if there is a way to activate velocity sensitivy it would make my day

It's sensitive to velocity and it can be adjusted the touch (soft- medium- hard- fixed)

No. There’s no arpeggiator for this. Look at the Korg i3 instead
I have one at home. How do you split the sounds for instance electric piano up top and the bass on the lower end?
I'm trying to figure that out too. The only video I could find that might help is in another language I can't speak
First use the SPLIT button. Then assign the left hand sound (a Bass voice) to Lower1. You can have up to three sounds for the right hand (including an E.piano) assigned to Upper1 Upper2 and Upper3. Hope this helps!
very skilled player but it was also recorded using state-of-the art sound equipment. I'm not sure of you can get this quality with regular sound tools.

@@roberthosier2829 You don't need reviews when you own it. That's why I know what I'm talking about. The sound is either highly edited or there's some pro sound tool behind it. I'm not saying it's a bad product. Just the sound is not right out the box !
I own the EK50 and now ordered the EK50L. Same sound quality as in the video.
@@ILoveMYOOZIK I also have the ek50 L and it’s absolutely the same thing ! Nobody has been able to tell me the difference between those too beside the L and Price
The demo does show the sound the instrument is capable of generating but you are unhappy with the onboard speakers. There’s always going to be a difference between the sound the onboard speakers can produce versus running the keyboard into a computer recording, headphones, or an amplifier. It will always sound better via line-in or amplified. Too many variables affect live non amplified sound and speakers for size and weight. Anyone who doesn’t understand this should not be playing an electrical instrument. I have “toy” keyboards that sound ridiculous by themselves but are fantastic gigging instruments in our band when properly amplified.

The pianist is worried to show his ability instead of showing the keyboard characteristics.
Looking for less talented people playing keyboards? You’ve got the rest of CZcams for that. To demonstrate the capabilities of an instrument you should have someone who understands those capabilities and has the talent to use them.
Korg always rig their demos. This is a cheap keyboard and i have heard it live and it sounds nothing like this . It sounds thin with little dynamics and no real depth to the sound ! Great playing by Luke as always though !
I have the EK50 and now ordered the EK50L. It sounds exactly like in this video. Don't let "cheap" fool you. Cheers.

No arpeggiator if that's what you mean
It has a few piano arpeggio accomps and you can load more from USB but it doesn't have an arpeggiator engine
