Mooney's Bay is Ottawa's best kept secret...

Bring your kids to Mooney's Bay in Ottawa and let them have a blast in nature. There are lifeguards, washrooms, a restaurant and a bunch of playgrounds. Or head to the south end of the park and enjoy a quiet picnic in the shade at the edge of the Rideau River. Great spot for fishing, but you might not catch anything...
*HOW TO GET HERE*
From downtown Ottawa:
DRIVING: Head south on Bank Street. Turn right onto Riverside Drive and follow it all the way to Mooney's Bay. Paid parking is available and there's on-street parking around Ridgewood Ave and Springland Ave.
TRANSIT: Catch the O-Train eastbound and get off at Hurdman Station. Go to platform D and catch the 90 Greenboro. Get off at Mooney's Bay.
