I my self CSE 2nd year undergrad, I got 97.88 percentile in JEE Mains , i got cse in last round in 2023, Thapar is best and about coding culture is bar 6 select huyee h GSOC me , and PLacement is best and cse is about 18 lpa and overall pcg 12+ lpa and college life is top notch life..!

I want little clarity that by when would the hostel allotment counselling start.
Also like, how are the people at thapar, zyada kuch branch wise or maybe region wise do they sideline yk discriminate in a sense

No single in 1st sem
Hostels will be alloted based on merit so that similar students are in same room, so yeah you have nothing much in your hand about hostels for the 1st sem.
For the in person councelling we will get a mail from thapar around mid July, where we wil lbe alloted hostels too.

Hey, my PCM score is also 96 but my jee percentile is just 87. They have given me ENC branch...i am waiting to be given a computer related branch...

@@avisr438 that would most probably be on jee mains basis as cutoff for boards is way to high, also at the time when he commented 2nd round on the basis of pcm was not even done yet.
Also most of the seats now are filled, so chances of getting in at low percentile is low, but it's always better to take a chance as you can get something good in spot round
