I’m a Harley guy I grew up around them I dream of having one but I’m only 17 so I don’t have the money as of right now but I do have a 2000 vstar 1100 and it’s a bobber I welded cut it up and done everything myself but it will last for ever won’t be as nice and hold its value as a Harley but I’m pretty proud of it ! And I stripped a lot of the electric stuff on it it’s just a dual carb setup

There again there were electronics in early 70s bikes and there are plenty of those about that still manage to not dump the entire sump contents in to the combustion chambers after they’ve been standing a year like some in this content lol.

Even with all that smoke and an exhaust full of holes that knuck runs perfectly!!
True, but for the piles of money that Knuck is worth the first thing to do would be tear it down for complete inspection and restoration because if anything breaks the pieces can be stunningly expensive. They're low compression engines designed for terrible fuel so no wonder it fired up (no doubt the carb was cleaned and ignition sorted before firing it up because no carb sits that long without needing attention). It's about a $30K machine as it sits.
