- Hello Everyone! Glad to have you join us today! We are going to do an awesome Dutch Pour with some rich elegant earthtone like flowing colors! This is a 12x24 canvas with a custom gray base. So let's get started!

Base: Custom Gray Base
Layering Colors: Blickrylic Mars Black, Liquitex Basics Copper, Liquitex Basics Burnt Umber, Liquitex Basics Unbleached Titanium White, Artist Loft Old Gold, Arteza Deep Pearl Brown, and Liquitex Basics Silver Argent
All other paints are mixed with 2 parts Floetrol and 1 part paint with water added in small amounts to achieve the desired consistency. Checkout videos #28 and #52 on How to Improve the Dutch Pour and How to Get the Right Paint Consistency

How did you make your base pour
Hi Rosemary! I made my custom gray using Blickrylic Mars Black and Blickrylic Titanium White. Paints were mixed with 2 parts Floetrol 1 part paint with water added to get the desired consistency. I then used a 16 oz cup 3/4 full of the mixed black paint. I added the mixed white paint in small amounts at a time into the black stirring until I achieved the custom gray color desired. Hope that helps!

Rosemary, I know how difficult it can be when starting out with acrylic pouring, especially if you don’t have anyone to talk to! I’m definitely willing to help you where I can. Sometimes it is hard to respond with clarity. But feel free to send me a message via messenger if you wish. I have used Artist Loft ready to pour paints but not in either of the two videos you inquired about! I typically use my own paint mix as previously stated and I put them in squeeze bottles for ease and convenience!😄
