On their channel, Sabaton has a short video of the making of "Christmas Truce." (which BTW is a structured as a waltz according to Joakim Broden). The cross at the end represents a real memorial to the truce outside Ypres. The band members all said how hard acting was and that they had a new appreciation of the craft after this. Great reaction.

Sadly, the officers made them come back (and if you don’t know you would back then be killed if you didn’t) and they had to fight again
Some Germans knew English, the British knew some Germans too . Each unit had different experiences on Christmas. Not all had a truce, few did. Some had small handmade Christmas trees to place atop of the trenches. This one though talks about the first encounter I believe. However, it was a German officer who yelled out in broken English as everything was quiet “you not shoot and we won’t. Merry Christmas”. A 16 year old British soldier decided to venture out with hands up and met in the middle of no man’s land with a also young German soldier, they shook hands and greeted . Officers weren’t too happy but agreed to a short truce. But it’s why it never happened again. All that propaganda and hate on both sides depicting the other as a monster and evil was gone, both sides realise they were brainwashed and they were just… brothers, just normal humans. Many were students, some were train conductors, barbers, etc They gave gifts of cigarettes, chocolate, food, alcohol if any. They showed each other’s photos of loved ones, talked about their lives, some even gave their home address to visit after the war(don’t know If any survived to do that ) .. they buried the dead together no matter who and prayed p together as well. There was no enemy. They all had to be moved elsewhere afterwards. Both sides refused to kill their opposing team that were their new friends

It´s a pity, while you are supposed to be metal music video producers, to not taking the video seriously. I think you killed this reaction right from the start. This is truly an epic music video. If you reacted to it, as the producers you say you are, you may have noticed all the details in this video. But you did not take that chance. I will give you and your channel a second chance but if you laugh your way through it (just because power metal isn't your cup of tea) I will not. As someone mentioned, if you hade the energy to watch the end credits much of your movie making questions would be answered. I do not often make bad recensions on a reaction video but take my advice and react as music video producers and don not making a joke out of it. The brilliance of this music video just past over your heads.

The Pope had called for a Christmas truce and many Germans were catholics and took it very seriously. This wasn't just one place, it was independently negotiated peaces all along the border. Some never worked, some lasted but hours, some lasted even weeks after Christmas. This despite threats of arresting soldiers for treason. It didn't start at Christmas really. Trenches were so close that they had started to shout greetings to each other over the border. Over the weeks they started so share sporting results, singing together. Without this growing cameradie, the truces couldn't have been made. After this, command started with much higher troop rotations as to hinder any growth of friendships. I had a friend once who was a soldier in Wehrmacht and who experienced this himself in WW2 with american soldiers who became friends with the Germans, and they played cards together instead of fighting over what ever the mission object was supposed to be.

I understand you guys are reacting to the videos and not really the songs and there's no need to like it (I've seen you guys like some of Sabaton's songs in the past). I do like your guys' videos because it's fun to see people looking at the videos and not the songs. The sort of mocking comments early on though, i understand why they may rub some people the wrong way and i think you may have cost yourselves a huge audience from some Sabaton hardcore fans as well as people who think the subject matter itself is a highly senstive one, one which honestly, no band or historian in the world does a better job to pay homage to than this band.
