This performance is exceedingly beautiful, rich in nuance, the pace perfect. A very attractive choral group, as one might expect in Milan. Bravo!
I am *quite* irreligious and this is still one of my favorites of his. I can acknowledge beauty where it exists for whatever reason it was created even if the message behind it doesn't ring true for me.

The person who introduced me to this piece described it as "the most beautiful three minutes of music ever written." This performance is amazing! Really lovely acoustics in that space and such gorgeous singing!

As an convert to Orthodoxy, I suggest that this is a small sign that the Orthodox world can rescue the west from its malaise of consumerism and individual self-preoccupation.

I would also say that his own consumerism that includes expensive watches and so on is not justified, either.
