My Dad used to be a whaler and told me how they once saw a giant squid on top of the head of a whale. The whale was jumping out of the ocean trying to knock the squid off its head. They were all stunned at the sight.
What an awesome video that would've been, had it been captured on tape. I've heard many stories from former whalers. Your dad was a tough man.
Can they block the whale's blowhole and suffocate them?
@@achungbengia8533 yes, that's why the whale was jumping out of the water trying to smash off the squid against the sea. It was a sperm whale. It would have been an unbelievable sight.
@@rukus9585 yes, he was. He was born in an era very different to now. But later in life he very much regretted ever killing whales. He was a huge animal lover. As am I.

Kinda takes away from the shock and awe factor seeing some of these rare, incredible animals lying dead next to some stupid hunter with a big dumb grin on his face. So proud of himself for killing something so unique.

You can't get a giant fish down at the market Daz, and it is something to be proud of because it takes a lot of patience, skill and coordination with your crew mates to haul one of these sizes in.
I used to work the graveyard shift at an urgent care as front desk when an atticus atlas (or something VERY similar) flew in drawn to the lights. It was during flu season so we were still busy. You would've thought a rabid dog was running around the way the patients and staff were freaking out. Like masses of people running through the halls trying to get away from this huge moth. A nurse and I caught it with a cardboard box and released it in the parking lot. We had to do this two more times that night, before we walked it far enough away it stopped trying to get back in. Every time - cue screaming and running. We ended up calling it the Mothra night.

Bull sharks are the ones that can live in freshwater/brackish water….I caught a 4 ft Bull shark here in Maryland last yr in the Susquehanna River

I was waiting for a bus in the dark. Suddenly and relatively quietly a lion walked up the sidewalk he was on a leash with a tiny blonde woman. I asked “What is that & you walk wherever you want and no one gives you any crap do they?”
She said he was a tibetan mastiff and that he was friendly. He leaned into me and I cuddled him because I was about to be knocked down if I didn’t lean into him. Biggest dog ive ever seen

Freaky wtf fact of the day: Moose can swim really well and can dive up to 20 feet underwater to eat plants off the bottom of lakes. So imagine that giant lad swimming majestically through the water and you'll get an idea just how whack that is

I guess the blue whale, the largest animal in Earthen history, bigger than any discovered prehistoric creatures, was omitted, because it's a species that is commonly known (i.e. not rare) to be normally huge & not as intriguing anymore, at least on this list.

Back in the 90s in the area where I'm from everybody was talking about a giant wild boar everyone called "Big Red" that roaming the woods. Everyone I knew that hunts always on the lookout for it. I don't think anyone every got it.

The large "Crocs" featured here are the Salt Water Crocodiles from North-East Australia. They live in the tidal estuaries of rivers and also in the ocean, so Sharks are definitely on the menu. We have a running joke in Australia when a tourist might ask "are there any Sharks around here"? The answer is always "Nope, the Crocs ate them all".
Now I know how to scare Daz. Large Insects, especially flying ones. Not that I would ever want to do that.

I have a nearly 200lb saint Bernard. She's currently 5'6" tall and is still going to grow for another 8 months or so. She may well break the record for largest dog. She is likely already one of the largest female SBs put there.
And yes, her shits are MASSIVE. She eats 50lbs of food on her own every month. Her piles look like cowpatties. I use a snow shovel to clean them up. She's a gentle giant, but doesn't know her own strength and size. She tries to jump on me and nearly knocks me off my feet.

In the US you can only own up to an 85% wolf I believe, any more and their wild instincts are too strong. I own a 60% husky/40% wolf, female, sweet as can be, you can see the wolf come out at times.

Watching this was entertaining, but hearing the fish comments - made it very obvious that the dude has never gone fishing in his life or has actually held a fish that hasn't been sitting on ice for a few days. But even a live one of those frozen ones from the market can be strong enough to smack you in the face if you don't hold it tight enough. When you catch a fish, no matter how big it is - you feel a sense of pride cause you patiently waited for it - Still, entertaining video though.

My friend has chickens and roosters, the first time I have ever been around any. She showed me how they eat everything, but fruity pebbles. I will never eat fruity pebbles again, if trash birds won't eat them I wont. If you ever get to try it, moose meat burgers are pretty good.
Guys do like to get their pic taken with a fish they caught. We have a box full of pics of relatives holding up strings of fish, and we have no idea who they are but they're obviously from my paternal grandma's side of the family, most of whom were lake fishing mad. So we just say, "Must be a Cox."

That is a bull shark it's not a fresh water shark. It can live in fresh water though. It's the only shark that can do so I believe. Maybe another type of shark that looks like a bull as well.

The catfish is loss of a grand life. Like felling the largest tree. That one is heartbreaking. On the other hand, the feral pigs and boars rampant through the southern, and increasingly the south-central and south-western U.S. need to be eradicated with swift and severe prejudice. But even in these circumstances, we should respect, use, and consume a living life, and not waste it solely for the purpose of slaughter.

Big Jake does not weigh 2.6 tons. He weighs 2500 pounds. I can’t speak for the accuracy of the rest of the video because I don’t have experience with those types of animals but I do have many years of experience with horses because I’ve raised and trained race horses pretty much my whole life. It does not cost 315 dollars a day to feed that horse. If that horse was exercising extensively every day it would cost at most around 15-25 dollars a day to feed him. If he wasn’t exercising much it could even be half of that.
There are just certain creatures that will creep me out enough to where I will kill it should it get near me and I would not care if it held the cure for cancer.

I have actually kicked a few swans in my time. I've been in far more intimidating situations to be put out by a large bird.
One time a friend was cornered by a whole flock that I swear were trying to drive him into the water. I noted two males in particular were pretty bolshy, I distracted them with food. One hissed at me so I hooked a foot underneath it and shoved it away. Made enough of a gap for the person to escape.
For context, I've had to stop a herd of, while domesticated, rather high spirited horses that had gotten loose and were heading toward a very busy yard. I made myself big and stood my ground, everyone else ran and hid while I saw my life flash before my eyes. Of course it was a group of the biggest horses, led by the tallest/biggest horse at the yard. Stood 18.2hh, or about 6 foot at the shoulder. Thank god I had some kind of rapport with a number of those at the front of the herd, I was fully anticipating ending up in a lot of pain.
A swan ain't gonna do shit, but sometimes you do need to put them in their place since they're definitely strong enough to injure pets/children

I have to say I am very disappointed at the talk about bats are ugly. That is far from the truth and reactions like that is what keep giving those wonderful creatures a bad reputation. I follow several bat channels like Megabattie, baby bats and buddies of Australia, Batzilla. They are not ugly and they sure are not dangerous, they are some of the cutest creatures on the planet. Flying foxes that eat fruit are adorable and even tiny bats that eat insects and the vampire bats are still cute. Not to mention how vital they are to the environment, if bats disappear we lose avocados, figs and many other fruits that bats pollinate. And the insect eating bats without them we would not be able to walk outside without getting swarmed by insects. Less than 2% of bats carry diseases and they do not attack humans in fact bats are very social animals and bats that are rescued show a strong connection to the person that take care of them very quickly sometimes within just an hour or two. SO please stop with the stupid im scared of these ugly creatures bullshit. Help save the bats instead.

@@counselthyself2591 And then you are the most unlucky people in the world or you simply mess with them for no reason there are less than 200 bat attacks in the United states every year and most of those are not real attacks more bats that hunt for insects and fly down to catch them and people see that as attacks. Bats don't just intentionally attack humans. So I would say you were just very unlucky then because you are more likely to get hit by lightning then crash your car and be in a plane crash all during the same week than to get attacked by a bat.

@@counselthyself2591 Well still very unlucky and the cousin in bed the bat could have been in there and got scared and bit. It is still very unlikely to happen and bats do not attack people and still only 2% of bats carry rabies. They are not in any way intentionally dangerous to humans. Most cases of people getting something from a bat is from eating them like they do in some parts of Asia.
@@counselthyself2591 They are very cute animals and quite friendly. And vital to the ecosystem on this planet. Many fruits would disappear if they do, mosquitos would increase by the billions and with them way more disease and death in a single year than the bats in 100 years.
