  • Went to Porth Iago this morning. Conditions for here were not the best with strong SW and a big spring tide. Fished mainly a sheltered nick in coast. Bites generally were slow from mainly Pollock. Wrasse spot wasn't really fishable. Nothing big wanting to show either so just made the best of what was on offer. Had around 40 Pollock in total with a few Mack. Best conditions for here are Neap - medium tides 2 hrs before and after low and light winds for best access. There are other places offering more.

There's huge tide rips there, so it's a bit like fishing eddies ect on rivers. Had fly fished for years and done plenty of nymphing on rivers, a bit of water craft goes' along way even in the sea. Inthe morning there was about 12 Dolphins riding and feeding further out in and on the edge of the rip.

What's your favourite Tict soft plastics for light rock fishing?
    Thank you very much.
