Sunday String Along...Happy Labor Day Doyle and family. Thank you for the inspirational words to remind me that I should be doing my work as to The LORD. That I should be dependable and available. It has been a struggle and I am learning that this old jar of clay has been focusing on my inabilities and my disabilities. Your messages dig right to the heart of the matter. P.S. I have used your message from the older SSA in ref. to the "creative healing" of the blind man. Now I will add the part of "in earth" as being inside of us. Wow, how many times I have said The LORD's prayer and just skipped over that. Know, that your labor and many hours know that it is not in vain. Always, always a blessing.

Fun lively cowboy song. I am catching up with the two Sunday String-Alongs I missed as I was up in cowboy country where Idaho, Montana and Wyoming meet. Saw a lot of little and big doggies all on pasture or along the road. Bison jam. Ha. God blessed my hubby and I with a safe fun journey and gorgeous restful place in spite of all the natural distractions right and left. So glad. Fine singing today Doyle. Cheerful.

Doyle, God has certainly given you some amazing talent for playing the guitar! Been playing for 45 years and don’t do too bad. But when I watch you, I feel like a total beginner! Which is fine with me, as I know God gives to each as he sees fit. But just is a total blessing watching you rip those guitars apart! Just awesome!

Don’t see how a guitarist can properly take a vacation. One day off and I can tell it. Two days off and my band can tell. A week off and everybody can tell! Abilities: I can feel the music trying to come out of a band. Disabilities: not really a big deal. Smaller human with smaller hands. Gotta arrange music around finger stretch sometimes. But you know what? I’ve never had to play through brain surgery recovery, and you and your story inspires the rest of us to get out there and do what can be done to its fullest. 22:30 Doyle, I'm so thankful you repeatedly say this "in earth" to make this point. Jesus prayed God's will would be done 'in us' as it is in heaven... I've said that same thing for many years and had others look at me like I'd lost my mind. BUT I believe it exactly that way! God's desire and presence is more individually personal with those who believe it is.... than we could ever imagine. I may not see it today... but I live expecting to see it in the land of the living.(ps 27:13)

Please pray for me. I have acid reflux and it's killing me and my family. I'm sitting here in the darkness of my home. I'm so sick I can not lie down. I wake up in the wee hours of the morning all the time. My body is on fire from acid reflux. Nothing seems to work. My family and I are losing sleep because of this. It's hell on earth sitting in my bedroom alone my stomach and chest and even my ears and nose burn and hurt. This happens weekly sometimes more. Please pray that God will remove this from my body. Thank you and God bless you and your family also.
I'm praying that the Great Physician heals you and also that He provides an earthly physician to give a true diagnosis and solution. And then for strength to hold on for you and your family.

I play your style as best as I can and have been for 15 years and I’ve gotten the opportunity to see you three times and recently here in San Antonio at fellowship church. I bought my first Kirk Sand guitar this week. It should ship out middle of next week. Serial number is 515. Built in 2005. I am so looking forward to getting it. I've got a Gibson LG-3 from the early 50's I think. My brother picked it up for me when I was 12 years old. He paid $10 for it from a pawn shop in Oklahoma City. Of all my guitars, it's still my favorite to play. Maybe I'll bring it next time you're around. Once again, you've blessed me and my house with your playing and the Word. May God continue to bless ALL that you do for HIM. 🙂🙏🎸

Doyle, God’s timing is perfect. I’m 62 years old and struggled with wanting to do less but at the same time I have more opportunities than ever to serve God with a new job in the music business, worship team at church, teaching lessons, and outreach burden for kids living in poverty. I needed to hear this today. The retirement mindset is not in scripture.

I can relate, brother. “Retired” from a great job 3 years ago. Looked forward to playing tunes on my back porch. Turns out retirement just means you have more time to do some good things for the Kingdom of God. And to play to help folks worship God. And to reach people. And….

Chris Update: After bravely fighting cancer 13 months , with some intermediate positive results my lovely wife Chris passed away Saturday afternoon. It’s an unbearable loss . I wanted to thank you Doyle and those of you on this channel who prayed for Chris as I elected to share this experience here on this channel along the way. Please pray for our family ( our Daughters Jenny, Michele, granddaughters Riley and Maggie and a host of siblings) as we navigate a new normal. Thank you Doyle so much for this entertaining and inspirational String A long.
