Here is a good trick for all Vauxhall diesel owners with a dpf. Or most diesel cars.
The dpf when in a regen triggers the door mirrors and tailgate glass to to demist/heat up. I know it sounds odd but trust me it does. You can add a £1 led diode into the door mirror plug within the speaker cover and the led will light up so you know the car is regening, which you should NEVER stop on these ever. Just to add 99% of all diesel cars do the same, next time your car is regening put you hand on the outside door mirror and you will feel it heat up, it's coded into the ECU, trust me 😁

@@scotspie501douglas7 check your glow plugs, sometimes when the glow plug/s fail the stop start won't work. But I wouldn't drive too long with faulty glow plugs no matter what anyone says, the car won't regen if these ain't working and then this causes further probs. But also check the new ECU.

Hi Phil, sorry to be picky, but it's brake fluid, not oil. Whilst they may seem similar, oil and standard dot4 brake fluid are chemically massively different. Some inexperienced viewers might be misled into thinking that they can top up their brake reservoir with oil, with potentially disastrous results!

It's all to do with the oil pressure not creating tension on the chain due to a poor designed tensioner that needs a gasket putting behind it. I have only just say this video. Oil pressure issue is well known on the 2.0 cdti and this one. Usually 100% it's the o ring within the oiil sump pick up. Cause the warning oil pressure low. I wouldn't run it until this part is changed. Many a Vauxhall engine has been wrecked by this ridiculous problem Vauxhall should have sorted. The crank gear is another major issue. The oil pressure is caused by the o ring and the crank gear fails.

To change the oil sump is easy enough if you have the correct block as Vauxhall revised access to the sump bolts, otherwise you have to drill a section to get the sump off otherwise it's a gear ox drop. This oil pick o ring is very very common. Anyone having Ng a low oil pressure issue needs to sort it asap, or engine WILL fail 100%

this isn't the 2.0cdti this is the 1.6 diesel, totally different unit and doesnt suffer with the oil seal pick up seal issue 👍

@@leemclaughlin3927 I wouldn't count on it. Maybe a slightly different engine but I have seen the same issue. After all it's Vauxhall were speaking about here. This should not be happening on cars nowadays absolute joke. Vauxhall are notorious for these issues. All diesels suffer, dpf failure prematurely, egr cooler leaks, crank gear failure, prem water pump failure, turbo intercooler pipe failure, dual mass flywheel failure, squeaking pedals, badges fall off, rear boot release fails, rear springs snap and shox, abs sensors failure, also have issues with chewing batteries loads more tbs and this is on low mile cars. Don't trust Vauxhall.

Its not a gasket Phil, its a one way flow valve. Too many cut scenes mate, i would go back to basics mate and time-lapse at least we see something happening rather than seeing parts after they have been taken off. You are losing me as a viewer and subscriber mate
