I'm 59yrs old and have 'culled' my partner and two of my siblings recently. I don't hate them and it's a painful choice but they chose not to change the way they treated me so I guess the old status-quo worked for them, just not for me. About ten years ago I 'culled' toxic or user friends and have never regretted that decision. My life massively improved. I also reflected on how I treated friends who were good to me and found myself lacking. So at the same time I changed my behaviour and made sure I gave the same level of good energy to friends who deserved my attention. I'm hoping my latest cull will be positive in the longer run. It's still hard as I care for them still ❤
