You said high DPI dosn't have a big advantage, but I occasionally see people spinning wildly to avoid being hit, while crouching or jumping, they can also make it look like a feint with big weapons.
Well thats movement exploits before the release of the weapon. Turn cap isnt a thing until after you release your swing. In other words anyone can feint with no turn cap.
Works also well with stabs. Turncap is broken with the rush perk. I only use short spear and stab. Don't know about other weapons.The stab animation breaks and as soon as the release, after my first kill, starts, my right arm is already fully stretched out and can move freely.
I think turn caps also affect how often your weapon does weak hits like, if you turn too much, your weapon will do like 7 damage and stop on hit. I'm not sure though but it's a tendency I have noticed when I drag a lot.
Recent player here, just above lvl 20. Ive been dueling a lot these week and for what i have found I really believe this should be balanced. You should either commit to a drag or an accel, there is virtually no way to react to a dragged accel because the moment you start dragging is the moment where an accel would hit. Pretty broken methinks, turns every swing into a gamble for the defender. It also avoids being able to read the hips of the attacker as it should be. Idk there are a lot of cheesy movements with certain weapons that are easily abusable. And before you all say "git gud" (Which I should) There have been times when the whole server are noobs and are being destroyed by a dude and most of the time If I pick it up and do the same I end up Winning aswell 70% of the time w no practice.
I've played years ago and just started again , the mechanics are just annoying simple as Those players with a top score that's the score of their entire team combined only use Maul, Executioner's, Polehammer , it's like no other weapon exists in the game ! They either accelerate to the point where the heaviest weapon in the game swings faster than a dagger, or drag to the point where you will never parry again

Those are 3 more type of drags. Really hard to do and you should only do those if you are sure you know them and if you can hit them correctly. A few players only know how to do those.

You will get better at reading them by practising against players that can drag well. Footwork helps a lot too. As a general rule you want do move away from swings to have more time to see whats going on. I might make a video on that topic at some point. Footwork can be really helpful like KingLouie said, if you get good enough at it you can walk away from a lot of drags which will cause them to miss; this gives you a free hit if you punish them. Even if you don't footwork out of it you will have plenty of time to parry.
@@vincentdolente7053 Lol, without drags or accels the game would be a stam fight, idiots like you also usually complain about feints despite them being a real thing you can do, and accels is just swinging faster than you usually do IRL, drags is the only unrealisic thing and it's good for the game, without drags and mechanics like it, you would just pick the best weapon for stamina fighting, and the longest weapons so you don't miss as much, and that would be the meta because it would be based solely around disarms, you have no clue what you're talking about and Mordhau is still part of the top 100 most played games on Steam with great reviews, stop being so mad at these basic mechanics, it's so much better than the crazy shit people did in Chivalry, and you don't even have to learn drags or accels to do good in invasion or frontline

Thanks! If you play One-handers you can play without swing manipulation. You just need good morph-feint mixpus.

It's called a glancing blow and happens when you turn around your own axis too much during a swing.

Im trying to do drags 20 hours and still can't hit my opponent with 100%, I usually miss or my opponent parries my attacks

Those are 3 more type of drags. Really hard to do and you should only do those if you are sure you know them and if you can hit them correctly.

It means that TURNing around while attacking is CAPped at a certain speed.
