Almost every Radiohead song is a carefully executed masterpiece and can be perceived as the “best song ever” depending on how well it resonates with you at that moment
that's why i've been a fan for years, i feel like every album has something for your different periods in life.
so true
excluding bloom
Except for “Pop is dead” and most songs on Pablo Honey.
And we don’t talk about The King Of Limbs unless we’re dunking on it.

Not even one of the best radiohead songs…
I’ll stand for that one
The most accurate reaction to Motion Picture Soundtrack I've ever felt. That chord progression is devastating
Yeah man, I feel that.
Foxes need HUGS
no words for the 'I will see you in the next life' part. I heard it again after not really listening to KID A since I was a teenager and it hit me like a tonne of bricks
My playlist ends with a line "I will see you in the next life".
Perfection.
I cry every time I listen to it I swear, and it even made my friend cry who I almost never see cry
That line "I Will see you in the Next life" makes me cry so hard
Pyramid song doesn’t make me sad tbh, I just feel peaceful and relaxed.
It’s the music video, for me at least, that really makes me emotional
@@cmcbkt4668 I actually forgot it even had a music video. Now I'm curious how it's so sad.
It really makes you flow
My opinion is that many many people commingle sad with melancholic,..
@@_-_-_-Prof.BoskoBiathi-_-_-_
I agree, if I were to remake this video I’d replace pyramid song with Street Spirit or Videotape
Bodysnatchers deserves so much more love. It's more than just an IR deepcut. I wonder why it wasn't a single too. Such an energetic masterpiece.
I start levitating when the guitar comes in at 2:07
@@rponcesilva That part is phenomenal. I also get the same feeling from the end with every instrument just going absolutely crazy.
Right?!? It’s one of my faves
While we're going for high energy Radiohead Palo Alto doesn't get nearly enough attention. It's practically the protect satire of SoCal culture. I can totally see the sequel to "The Social Network," the one that focuses on Zuck's descent into the Metaverse of Madness, making heavy use of the line "In a city of the future it is difficult to concentrate."
how is in any way a second track of any album a deep cut
motion picture soundtrack is so sad i can’t listen to that song without crying ngl
If that ain't playing at my funeral, I'm ain't dying
@@thedillybarboy I ain't seeing none of y'all in the next life if ya ain't playing this at my funeral.
Add to that how to disappear completely, street spirit, daydreaming and glass eyes, and you have the standard doomer Radiohead repertoire
by far my favorite of their music
@@thedillybarboy there’s this video of a funeral, where they play it live. It’s made me tear up every time I’ve watched it, but it’s so beautiful as well.
czcams.com/video/ZeI0PXj7LIw/video.html
The chord progression in "You and whose army" is so damn resolving and satisfying
Totally true, gotta love em though 😄 "You and Whose Army" is such a banger. I love their stuff
Honestly they’re the reason I learned guitar and because my girlfriend showed me how to play it
You and Whose Army makes me feel like a damn king. It’s so good!!

I need Kid A and OK Computer on vinyl
Saaaame. Finding kid Amnesia was easy enough but finding a cheap copy of ok computer is the bane of my existence
@CmcBkT agreed, paid $60 for mine a few weeks before I saw it get restocked ☹️
I've got OK Computer on CD

top 10 radiohead tracks for sure
Bloom is definitely one of the Radiohead songs
@@GilCAnjos You're talking to the guy that has TKOL as his second favorite Radiohead album lol, only beaten by AMSP
The whole album is a banger

I will never get tired of In Rainbows. One of my favorite albums of all time
How to Disappear Completely is a mood-destroyer for me. I cannot listen to it without at least tearing up.
I remember when I first read the lyrics and fully understood the song I cried myself to sleep (which took about 3 hours). I fell into deep depression for about a year and I even became suicidal. I wouldn't say it's Radiohead's fault, my life was shitty anyway (still is, but it's much better now). Their music somehow described hidden feelings in me, it was all the shades of grey yet as beautiful as a rainbow.
One thing for sure: without Radiohead, I wouldn't be the same person I am today.
Jesus man. I can’t even judge you because The Night We Met by Lord Huron came out a week or two after my first big breakup and I was completely dissociated for months
I had a very similar experience man, it sucked. Hearing the song unearthed some really hidden emotion in me. I wasnt crying myself to sleep, but i was going on long hikes with headphones listening to the song on repeat and quite literally learning how to disappear completely. In retrospec, it definitely helped me and was something i needed
What did the song mean to you? I just listened to it & read through the lyrics and it was good but I don’t think it resonated with me on that level. Did I miss something?
@@fuzzyalba5419 You're probably lucky if a sad song doesn't mean much to you. I was stuck in an abusive household. Sometimes it didn't feel real, like if I close my eyes hard enough I'd finally awake up from the nightmare and be somewhere else. Helplessly watching everything happen to me and around me without being able to do anything. So all I wanted is to literally just disappear, and all I could do is pretend that I'm not actually here and live in an imaginary world where I could go where I please. When I heard this song it just put everything into words for me.
@@PSlo0over That’s really sad. I’m not quite sure how to respond to this, but I’m glad you seem to be in a better place now.
Kid A is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish.
Edit: Y’all chill I just said I liked Kid A
100% Agreed
no it isn't
People who know the finishing song
HTTT better
Nah
I need a 10 hour version of the security guard dancing to National Anthem lmao
For some reason Airbag fills me with dread and depression more than most of their songs.
I have the same reaction, I think it’s the stop and start bassline, it makes it feel just slightly *off* in an unsettling way
even more impactful if played after The Tourist
@@shawnatlast the result of recklessness and apathy
I think it was written based off of one of Thom's car accident experiences, and ironically was playing in another dude's car when he got into an accident too. Rule of thumb, don't listen to this in the car... unless you want to test the airbag.
@@chairflipper4313 now i have to try it

I'd give anything to see a Radiohead performance now I'm mature enough to appreciate the beauty
How To Disappear Completely is my favorite song of all time and forever will be
I actually love bloom so much
Man, Motion Picture will always make me weepy without fail
The Pedro Pascal clip with Motion Picture Soundtrack was so perfect. The switch from laughter to sobs fit perfectly with the song. Motion Picture Soundtrack is my favourite track of Kid A, Love every song tho.

true love waits is such a banger
So many different emotions I feel when I listen to Radiohead. Just like my personality
Many many years ago, I had a version of "True Loves Wait" which Thom Yorke recorded on piano from home. His ex wife (now deceased) did dishes in the background. Truly beautiful, and ultimately heart breaking in retrospect. I wish I could find that version again.
I need to hear it!!! Let’s look for it! Where did you find it originally?

Its not true love waits but is it this
@@broolava7085 omg! I must have associated "True Love Waits" with this song. I know I had a version of "True Love Waits" and must have mixed up the two songs in my memory. Thank you for finding this. I have not heard this in years. I will leave my comment as a testament to my folly.
@@annavigori call off the search. I'm getting old and my memory confused "True Love Waits" and "How I Made my Millions"; the version I was thinking of may have been a b-side on OK Computer? It is a really beautiful song regardless.
this vid genuinely got me into radiohead
I fucking love How to Disappear Completely. And all of Amnesiac
the sax solo in The National Anthem will never not be head-banging
Moving Picture Sountrack has to be one of the best songs out there. Pyramid Song, The National Anthem, You And Whose Army? and How To Disappear Completely are just something else.
If you could not tell already, one of my hyperfixations is Radiohead lmao
Am I one of the few people who actually liked Pablo Honey? Also, How to Disappear Completely changed something inside me when I first heard it.
Plus, I love it when bands have songs that introduce you to the next album or call back to the previous one, at least sonically (Planet Telex off of The Bends sounds more like OK Computer, while Lucky off of OK Computer sounds more like The Bends).
I love Pablo Honey. It's how I was introduced to Radiohead.
I took Pablo Honey out of the library in 1993, because I liked the cover art. I've never looked back. Radiohead have given me so much.
pablo honey has some underrated bangers, my personal fav is blow out cause that progression is mad.
@@amanofpotatoes2176 FINALLY SOMEONE WHO MENTIONS BLOW OUT IT'S SUCH A BANGER
I recently played the Kid A Mnesia gallery experience on PS5. It was so great and immersive, especially on the You And Whose Army section I got motion sick, even VR games don’t make me sick. It was incredible
“Whatcha listening to son?”
Me listening to the entirety of Treefingers: “You wouldn’t get it”
When I was younger, it was How to Disappear Completely that got the waterworks going, now it's Daydreaming. Loneliness hurts, yeah, but LOSS. Loss kills you.
My favourite is "No surprises!"
Absolutely devestates me how perfectly you edited the last clip to line up with the line in motion picture soundtrack
Everything in its right place makes me feel every emotion all at once
such a range of emotions for literally the same song over and over again
And then Fake Plastic Trees comes on and makes me feel all of these things at once and multiplied by 10
The We Suck Young Blood one is so accurate though. That 15 seconds where things pick up though is some of the best music off of Hail To The Thief.
So true
Playing Radiohead on shuffle shouldn’t be a thing. So dirty 😅
You and whose army is my favorite song, happy to see it here hehe (and captures very well the feeling)

From Optimistic to Motion Picture Soundtrack. Everything in its right place.
I grew up listening Radiohead without understanding the lyrics(didn’t speak English and never bothered to really understand it). For me their music was almost never sad-just beautiful. Then I learned English and kinda got why people call it sad, but that early perception… it’s still not all sad
True love waits really does feel like that
How to disappear completely is one ofthe first radiohead songs that I heard, it's also one of those very few songs that make me cry profusely
the spectrum is wild, I love it
"You and Whose Army?" is 100% true
Yo, hold up, no Pablo Honey or The Bends AT ALL???
You _monster._
Only one Radiohead song made me cry, and that is How to Disappear Completely. You should have included Nude and All I Need from In Rainbows, too.
No surprises got me when I first found it. Was walking back to my college dorm and completely started bawling. Not even quite sure why. 😂😂😂 I’m glad it was at night while nobody was around lol
@@kemojoaquin Wow. I find no surprises to be mood-lifting actually. But that’s probably because I don’t pay attention to the lyrics.
True Love Waits from A Moon Shaped Pool
Daydreaming gets me almost every time.
All I Need legitimately induced a religious experience in me the first time I heard it.
For me the 2 saddest Radiohead songs are True Love Waits and How to Dissapear Completely, those songs destroy me
That's why i've got my own shuffle playlist of radiohead by mood
I'm listening ok computer again after 20 years, and in Airbag that featured in this video, I legit though the lyric was "I'm back to say the N-word" 💀
