Good stuff indeed! The first video got our attention - door to door 3's and for 30 more minutes couldn't stop watching,, excellent video,, Thank You and CZcams for sharing it with us!!
people moan about 1/8 mile, but see what a pro stock is doing at the 1/8 mile to get an idea just how fast these cars are.
quality video (as always)
But just when they start hitting max HP and speed, it's over. Like premature ejaculation.
What I think is cool about 1/8 mile runs, it's a given with enough money - parts and great tuners - ultimately a great pass rests on the shoulders of the driver. A poor leave he's done. No time to make it up no matter how much power and traction he has. He has to hit the tree dead on or he's left with a slow run that puts the entire team in a bad mood. These "shoes" in this video are AWESOME drivers!
The reason you like 1/8th-mile is the reason why I hate it: They're *all* about driver launch nano-timing. The car is 100% irrelevant, assuming it doesn't blow up. -- Meaning, that if that's all it's about, why even have the (fake) "race" at all? Just set the drivers in open chairs with their right feet wired to a button, then see who hits it first when the tree goes green. Advance the winner. No need for cars, crews, or anything else. Oh but that would be boring. Yeah.... You're right; it IS boring.
VERY nice compilation of some great D/R runs. Although it wasn't necessarily the most common track in the video, Tulsa Raceway Park was definitely the most visible and it's a very nice facility that hooks. Keith Haney and his staff have done a great job. Thanks for the well edited video TRV.
Sweet... Pro Mods.
Thanks for Watching Everyone!
I like the gold maro and the GTO. shout out to the blue fox tho
Good stuff
Bad to the bone🏁🏁
loved it.... although..i dont think they should allow blowers in this , 10.5 or pro dragradial class....just my opinion
great vid 2 questions, are drag radials D.O.T. and do you use a gimble to steady your steady like a tri pod wish mine were 1/2 as steady lol thanks for posting
James Fogarty; yes Drag Radial's are DOT approved. They use to look more like a street tire. Now it's a slick with holes drilled in them.
If the camera man would zoom out a little farther we would be able to see both times simultaneously. That way he wouldn't have to go back and forth, and miss half the times with the camera trying to re focus.
Great video.. Kudos to all driver, wrenches, teams and PicMen. But... whats the deal with radial tires ? who cares ?? BTW... where do these drivers park their balls to drive... space must be limited hehehehe
Just were the fuck is car standin up on the damn back tires
In my opinion, the best thing about this sport is they are privateers.
Is this over the quarter or 1000'?
wrote8 , 1/8th mile , 660 ft , a quarter is 1320ft , some of these guys are running 3.70 1/8mile passes if they did that in the quarter they would be nearly as fast as top fuel dragsters and funny cars
Michael Montoya not quite top fuel speeds. record on a radial is 5.80-5.90
All y'all complaining about it being 1/8th mile must not be real drag racers. Most of us that have done this our whole life enjoy 1/8th mile more than quarter. I know I do. When I raced outlaw top Dragsters with my dad I always had more fun running 3.90s in the eighth than 6.0s in the quarter. Both are fun but I just like it better. And it's a drivers game. U have to be on the tree and can't make a mistake in such a short race cuz u have no time to make it up. And 200mph in the 1/8th mile is just hauling
first
Juan Slaughter why cause I said something that you didn't like? And you think a little "shut up" comment is supposed to concern me? And yet this was about a month ago and you're upset? Get over it, bitch.
Marlon Thomas Jr OK thing one u can be done u can be not done but if I have to I will bring in ho mama jokes so I dont like fooling around with white people that think they are cool. it they ain't so
1000' sucks!
1/8 mile racing sucks
1/8 really
Y so many afraid to go the hi speed real 1/4 racing as its the standard.
1/8 only started so bigger faster cars could still do demo runs/shows for the crowd on smaller unsuited tracks.
Your all wasting time and fuel the first good electric perpose built car will kill all on 1/4,1/8 and make all this kind of inaficent noise history and be only used for demos years from now and will seem very slow.
I predict we will see driver G force black out happen with open electric drag cars drivers may even need pressure suites.
Its already started a stock Tesla is now killing and winning many drag racing classes.
Tesla safer and faster.
A STOCK TESLA CAN DO 1/4 in 6.8 seconds
I can watch this all day.
