Lamley Preview: Hot Wheels went all out on the 2020 Convention Models

- Under normal circumstances we would be smack dab in the middle of the Hot Wheels Convention in LA. I’d be on my way to join folks already there buying, selling, hanging, and puchasing their Convention models. This is 2020, so no Convention, but the models are still going to ticket holders. Thanks to the Team at the Convention, I have all the models to showcase for you today. If you are a ticket holder, you have probably already reserved your models. If you are not, this is what Convention ticket holders will be getting soon. Enjoy.

CH3OH is methanol (wood alcohol) or methyl alcohol. Flammable but poisonous. It is used as a fuel additive (of course), but is also a slight nod to Dutch Courage (alcohol induced bravery). Ethanol (grain alcohol) is the kind you drink, actually, but both are used in fuels and other things.

I've said it before but hot wheels have so many castings of vehicles used by Tamiya in there RCs they really need to do a collaboration and make a classic Tamiya RC range! Somebody please make this happen they would sell like crazy amongst the RC community!

My God, that Bel Air and the Willys are the most beautiful hot wheels I've ever seen. I get that Hot wheels could not come close in the mass production cars, but I wish they'd do a price point that wasn't high like the RLC, but do like Auto World, where you get killer subjects and killer detail like opening hoods and real looking mags n tires and they are always less than 6 or 7 dollars. I get that Auto World can do different subjects, but look at the Redlines from the 60s n 70s. That's y they now go for big bucks because HW USED TO MAKE KICK ASS PRODUCT.

We need to have opening and detail engines in car culture as well just like the Mazda but with better looking engine.

They are the main 2 that put on the Conventions and Nationals. Met them in 2013 and far as I know- they're not employed by Mattel. They have real jobs besides coordinating these massive shows twice a year!
