Apart from actually paying out the extortionate amounts to travel to and attend the races, the on-board camera is the only way to closely observe and experience the utterly insane speeds at which these vehicles travel. It's fantastic being able to watch the actual speed and gear indications. The usual camera angles used by the TV broadcasters ALWAYS reduce the sensation of speed for the viewer - it's an unavoidable optical function of the very long camera lenses.
10:05 and that is how you go from hero to zero lol, Maldonado looked like a really strong racer to be really fair to him, I know he got a lot of crap, it's just the errors man, you can't make those errors at this level
What memories to see again... 4 times and lots of driver fighting for the championship and screamings V8 🤩 On the other hand, why did Seb and the Mercedes stop after the finish and Fernando outside the track a little further? Their car needed to be examined?
What happened to Vettel's car at the end? According to Wikipedia it didn't cost his win. Did regulations change that much over the years that I can't understand that?
His car was already low on fuel and as we know the FIA takes fuel samples after the end of the race so instead of risking fuel running out by going for a victory lap which would also guarantee a disqualification, his engineer told him to stop the car at the pit exit
He didnt make the onboard mix, it was directed live by f1 back in 2012, these recording can be found scattered around the internet. The uploaded here simply showed us the most entertaining parts of a 2 hour video.
There's a website that has half of them, the rest are tricky to find but it's possible, I have most of them on my hard drive, reply if you want help with this
The cars back then had KERS a kind of electrical boost produced by braking, each driver could use this for a couple of seconds. I don’t remember how much hp they got for using this but when the battery was empty and they started the next lap they could use it again
It's the same thing as the ERS today, it just doesn't have different modes like the v6 ERS has. For example "Overtake mode" deployment in today's engine batteries provides more HP than "medium mode", but the KERS was just a big chunk of equal power that was deployed whenever the driver pressed the button
@@geckobeats3226 dude😂😂 dont guess that there are only 5 modes in the f1 car hust bcus in f1 2019 there are 5 modes There are around 11 modes or so for ers deployment

With Lotus, Mercedes, and McLaren all being superior to that Ferrari, it is unbeliavable how Alonso managed to fight Vettel until the very end. Sure, the Ferrari had the better reliability and it was good in the wet, but overall, the other teams were just as quick if not quicker (particularly McLaren, but they had their own pit stops and mechanical issues, for sure).
Before only 1 team and driver was allowed to win, this is a shadow of what F1 used to be. Make no mistake with Button out performing his teammate Hamilton, this is but another example of how its his Mercedes and a largely handicapped grid that has facilitated his wins, not his skill as a driver. Without the dominant car Hamilton is just another competitive driver on the grid and not even close to a great. Put everyone back into their pre-2014 cars and the grid changes drastically. Raikkonen was incredible in an underdevoloped and underfunded Lotus. He finished 3rd overall, after Alonso 2nd and Vettel 1st. Man these were awesome F1 seasons but still not as much fun as the early 2000s snd 90s. After 2006 it was all down hill sadly.
wdym? 2006-2012 is arguably the best period in F1 history. 2006-2010: 5 seasons 5 different drivers champions from 5 different teams. Also, if McLaren wasnt DSQ from 2007, we would have had 5 different constructors champions in 5 years, but instead we have 4 in 5 years.
@@apophisRO True but there was no guarantee McLaren definitely would have even won in 2007. We can speculate but really there was no guarantee of anything.
@@apophisRO No they scored 218 points through cheating with competitor technical info that they should not have had hense the reason they were disqualified. LMAO, Nico Rosberg is such a poor racer. He is more of a driver type. Good over a lap, mediocre over a race when you have to fight with variables and the competitiors.
