    Match :
    Denmark Open 2015
    Player :
Goh V Shem / Tan Wee Kiong (Malaysia)
Mathias Boe / Carsten Mogensen (Denmark)
Goh V Shem AMN (吴蔚升; born Goh Wei Shem, 20 May 1989) is a Malaysian professional badminton player in the doubles event. He was partnered with Tan Wee Kiong after their outstanding performance at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Goh and Tan won the gold medal for the men's doubles event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as all their matches in the mixed team event, helping Malaysia retain the gold medal for the third consecutive time. They also won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games and the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thus making them the second ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the silver medal at the Olympic Games 20 years after the feat was achieved by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock in 1996 Atlanta. Goh and Tan are also the fourth Malaysian men's doubles pair to hold the world number 1 ranking after Cheah and Yap followed by Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and later on by Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong ever since official rankings were kept in the 80s.[1]
Goh is known for his offensive play style and his signature jumping smash. He would stand ready at the back while his partner guards the front, jumping when the opportunity arrives and delivering steep smashes towards the opponent.
Tan Wee Kiong AMN (born 21 May 1989) is a Malaysian professional badminton player in the doubles event. He began partnership with his current partner, Goh V Shem at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. In their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, they won the silver medal, becoming the first Malaysian pair to achieve such a feat since 1996. In November 2016, they reached a career-high ranking of world number 1, making them the fourth ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to do so, after Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.
Tan was born on 21 May 1989 in Johor to Tan Cham Swe and Tan Yok Hua. His brothers, Tan Wee Tat and Tan Wee Gieen, are also professional badminton players. Tan started playing badminton when he was 6 and joined Bukit Jalil Sport School when he was 13.[1] Tan and beautician Chia Shi Leng wed in 2016.[2] Due to Tan's tight schedule, their wedding reception was held in December 2017 at The St. Regis Hotel Kuala Lumpur, with 700 guests in attendance.[3] The couple welcomed their first son in March 2019.[4]
Mathias Boe (born 11 July 1980) is a badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[1] He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China.[2][3]
Carsten Mogensen (born 24 July 1983) is a badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Mogensen was a former world number 1 in the BWF World ranking together with Mathias Boe.[1][2]
Mogensen was born in Roskilde,[3] a city on the island of Zealand and is currently living in nearby Greve.[4]

Great video! Don't get to see this level of play from this perspective very often. Best sense I've been able to get of the pace at this level. Thanks for posting.

I've watched the All Englands from front row several times, and once won a seat alongside the court in a competition, watched Gade v Chen Long. Such effort the pros have to put in, close up you see it.

mathias boe is all around players, just see how good he is at reading the game and also initiate the attacks. If the malaysian is able to counter his movement, maybe that will change the game during the 3rd set
