i miss moments like this in the new ones, even the relationship between Johnny and Dracula was at it's best in this movie
Agree the first one is by far and away the best one.
Hi
Especially the 4th one

She was Dracula's Love... | Martha's Story | Hotel Transylvania | CLIP
Fun fact: The actor of Martha and Dracula (Adam and Jackie Sandler) are a real couple. That’s so cool.
Also their daughter Sadie voiced Mavis as a child (Adult version is voiced by Selena)
Holy cow!
I was literally looking at the thumbnail and thinking they looked like Adam and his wife.
That’s awesome
Really? That is really awsome!
Notice how burned is the picture's frame. The last thing that Drac saved from burning castle.
Oye, cierto
Buen ojo
But how did Johnny see the painting if Dracula had taken it?

I really wish they kept the style of the first film. It had a dark and serious tone put into it.
The Last two movies just lost the depth of the story
@@ramonabukatyuk2475, I guess that’s one of the worst generic cliché in a lot of movie series, sequels and trilogies.
The first film is good but the others wind up losing its depth such as Transformers, Monsters vs. Aliens, Cars, Boss Baby, the lego movie films, Mulan, Tarzan, The Incredibles, Ghostbusters, Pocahontas, Lilo and Stitch, the SpongeBob films and so on.
Film trilogies I know that don’t lose their magic as the series goes on are Shrek, Finding Nemo, Iron Man, the Rugrats films, Kung Fu Panda, Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones, the live-action Scooby-Doo films, Toy Story and Madagascar.
I totally agree with you
@@Beanie-Inkling2749 I agree with you, but I love Cinderella's trilogy. The second movie is cute and the third one is AWESOME. It has great songs, a interesting plot and it develops some characters very well (Anastasia and the Prince).
@@raflyer they even give prince charming a personality
Honestly my favorite part of the movie, just how much drac has seen and why he wanted Johnny gone so bad.
A bit selfish but understandable
@@humayazdani554 you gonna be nice to a soldier if they just randomly killed your wife
Y'know, the original Hotel Transylvania had some real solid ground on it stand on and it made sense. The story was good, the characters were great. Their arcs and motivations were all solid, unique and it was an Adamn Sandler film actually worth getting into. Now it's just shameless sequels with bad animation, flat characters with that being super obvious with the 4th movie
Agreed. The first was my favorite. Such a shame the sequels went downhill
What didn’t make sense was Mavis and Johnny falling in love. They barely had any chemistry with each other, Dracula and Johnny had more chemistry.
@@licktin1091there's only so much you can fit in one movie
@@sadhanasrivastava3553 you’re right. They should’ve put more focus on Johnny and Dracula and cut out Mavis from the story.

Fun fact: The word "Lubov" means "Love"
Eah, in Russian 😅
@@user-qf5md3he8g Most of Slavic languages actually. Because of castle association, I consider that being a cross of Lubov name and Lviv High Castle in Lviv (aka Lwow in Polish or Lvov in Russian) in western Ukraine, not that far from Dracula lore places.

Truly understand of Dracula hatred of humans and why he lie and trick Mavis just to protect her so she wouldn't end up the same fate like her mother Martha.
Dracula didn’t want to lose her daughter, Mavis. He’ll be damned if he lose her just like he lost his love, Martha.
One of the most saddest scenes of all time
Underrated movie
THE WAY HE PULLED THE CURTAIN SO DRAMATICALLY
No wonder Dracula hated humans so much. They took away his wife and his home. Mavis was all he had left, and that's why he was so protective of his daughter.
Dracula didn’t want Mavis to have the same fate like her mom had. He would be damned if he lost her daughter, just like he lost his love, Martha and his home.

i love the dracula johnny dynamic, sad the next movies turned him into a child and dracula hating him again
In my honest opinion, Hotel Transylvania 1 was the best out of the rest. This one had much more emotion in it, monsters could actually show how scary they can be, whereas, in the rest of the HT movies, they are just goofy children's characters. They began these movies with quality, sadly they couldn't maintain it.
Yeah. But it still bothers me on how we went from actually good animated Sony films like Open Season, Surf’s Up, the first HT film and Into the Spider-Verse to mediocre films like the Emoji Movie and the HT films being less serious.
*sigh* What happened??
The developers lost motivation and passion for their movies
I love all the hotel transylvania movies but the first one is really something, it properly captures emotions and expressions and tugs at the heart strings, every movie as time went on seemed to get more and more silly, emotions were there but still.
The first one tops all the sequels. The sequels is just a good movie for a kids show
Probably the saddest scene in the whole HT franchise
Very heartbreaking 💔 also my grandmother sadly passed away on February 16th this year 😢
Sorry for your loss bud. Hope you recover well. I feel your pain but am so used to losing family members so quickly that I don’t even cry at the funerals anymore. It hurts me that I’m just used to it and don’t feel sad but I guess that’s life
Dracula does make a good point in terms of how even though times have changed, not everyone is willing to accept those who are different. It’s also a good way to foreshadow the overarching theme of prejudice conveyed in the second movie.
1:26 She was killed by YOUR KIND!!! 👿

The only animated scene that made me cry. God I love this movie
Imagine if valka hadocks new husband should be Count Dracula since stoick and Martha are dead
Different universes pal
Dracula: Can you tell me for certain that if we came out in the open, everyone would accept us?
Me: I would accept you.
This is where I think Drac starts to realize not all humans are bad by the end of the 2nd film he even changes his father's mind and the 4 became a family did u notice vlad was not in the 4th film
I hadn't noticed the change in the style of the films.
comparing the first and newest movie, I really love the first one the most.

WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME!
Tbh, Hotel Transylvania deserves a Broadway musical adaptation. I could see Martha getting a bigger role there and potential song numbers too. Who’s with me?
I kinda like this idea. But only if it's executed very well
@@yugiohgames104 agreed. Imagine if it does get a musical, it must get a similar tone like Addams Family, or make it have similar tone to Hazbin Hotel. And fan cast? And go!

Johnny: What? I- i just... Awsome
I’m guessing when Vampires are sad there eyes turn blue at 1:27
I was honestly surprised this movie had such a sad/emotional moment.
It's Soo Sad💦
I love this scene and it’s a very poignant and sad reminder that people (whether in media or real life) fear what they don’t understand
soooo sweet. (Adam and Jackie Sandler) 2nd film he even changes of the child of lady Lubov/Martha.
If you think about it, Johnny can brag about being the husband of the child of lady Lubov/Martha.
Dracula He's so sad martha's she dead :(
Adam nailed the emotion of this scene
Wow. He really did have a tragic backstory..
1:42 tragic
Miss how sad and dark this scene was in a goofy looking film
Adds depth to why the Hotel is a thing and hearing Adam sound so broken
The latter movies were…ummm…something else
Nothing will ever change Drac and Martha are a best couple not Ericka and Drac
@doctahwahwee2237 which is why I’m creating a story on my Wattpad of Martha alive
It is an unknown mystery and no one knows who killed Martha
It's best to keep it that way if u know what I mean
1:41 How did one get in?!?
Probably climbed on the wall and got inside with a window
@@TeaCakePony Oh, no.
"They are the real monsters." - Drac
This is true in real life. Humans is the number one killer species in the world, humans have been through countless of wars against each other.
What was with those humans? Why did they hate vampires so much? I guess they were just superstitious back then.
En la antigüedad temian a lo desconocido
Y mataban a todo que no era humano
Si antes ahorcaban y quemaban mujeres que eran brujas o que suponian que eran
Los humanos de ese entonces temian a casi todo
I think it's because
vampires have been
portrayed in stories and legends over the centuries
As evil monsters who
kill people by sucking their blood
And humans were also very different back then.
VERY Superstitious-and even that’s an understatement. Combined with “lores” and Legends, as well as artistic depictions through the ages. It’s a shame, really..
Fun fact after Martha’s death Dracula built the place for Martha to protect mavis
Martha and mavis got to be as close to a human as a monster can get
Why would they kill her??? SMH so sad!!!
HT 1: a wholesome story about an overprotective father overcoming his trauma and accepting someone of a species he hated and feared marrying his daughter to make her happy
HT 2: a little goofy, but a good story of a grandfather still struggling to accept a former enemy into his heart and accepting his grandson as he is, and the grandson understanding his identity as half human half vampire
HT 3: a bit too overloaded with cheap jokes and weirdly janky animation, but still contains a meaningful love story of a man finally letting go of the love he lost and finding a new one, as well as his new love accepting monsters and overcoming her generational trauma
HT 4: fart jokes, butt jokes, weird animation that is not pleasing to the eye, jokes, jokes, and more unfunny jokes, and a recycled story about drac accepting johnny as a human son in law
Saddest scene from a cute movie
They should have ended the movies with Johnny becoming a vampire

Still love the first hotel Transylvania because of drac and johhny specially with mavis
Makes you wonder why Dracula doesn't hate Johnny. Because humans were the ones that took his one and only love. You think that would make him have a lot of hatred. But like the way of the Sith anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering. So he probably tries to let go of that hate to avoid great suffering.
I think it's also the same thing with Vlad. When both Drac and Vlad still hate humans, they don't want to harm humans and start a war, unlike their respective underlings who tried to kill humans.
No matter what you say about the franchise, this is the best scene without a doubt
Se parece a Martha Argerich
Poor guy 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Another martha ...
2:29 It may be modern times but that does not mean everyone is nice there will always be bad people because we are humans and some humans are too stubborn to change. We wish everyone can accept differences but in reality not everyone will but that ok we shouldn't care what those people think. It's not perfect but at least there are some people who are more accepting.
1:05
Was Martha human?
No, she was a vampire.
i hate that almost every movie , the first one are so good but the sequels are like super boring and shlt
What about the second one? The second movie was pretty good.
Agreed tbh the fourth one didn't really work only the first second and third
@@XavierRuiz-up7xr yeah. The fourth one didn't really need to happen if Drac straight up told Johnny "You're a good and amazing person, but after what happened to this dining and speech, you are not ready to be the new owner yet." That would be more understandable than lying to Johnny.
HONESTLY I'D PREFER MARTHA AND DRACULA INSTEAD ERICKA AND DRACULA TBH
