If I can add 2 more mistakes that I see very often :
• wanting to do pumping right away : you should practice your balance first, by just staying on the skates!
• not bending your knees : bending your knees increase your balance a lot, you should do it !

Do you recommend to buy the more expensive JMK Free Skates for 130$ or Free skates off eBay fo 40$ if you are a starter?
The cheap ones are actually more difficult to learn on. They do not roll well or smoothly. Makes it twice as hard to learn
buy for $40 and change bearing for $5
I want a jmk but it's quite expensive, so I first bought a cheap option till I can afford jmk freeskates haha
In my honest opinion. I did this same thing. At the time I thought JMK skates were "TOO EXPENSIVE" So I bought the cheaper alternative. Yes I did eventually learn on the cheaper alternative ones, HOWEVER, when I finally bought my very own JMK skates. I could tell instantly that I should have started off with them. JMK's are SIGNIFICANTLY LIGHTER. I've noticed that the deck and truck of the skate provide more stability for the rider.

I agree with Camille cruz, I did the same exact thing and jmk free skates are soooo much better. I feel like I have made faster progress with them than the cheap ones.

Maybe I can but one for my birthday this year.
I found some freeline groms on ebay (had jmk in title) for £30.... Took me less than hour collectively to get ok. Used to snake board so the concept was half way there. Anyway, the wheels are way too square, but it is entry level.... Im too old for trix, just wanna cruise. But i find the square wheels really detrimental at lower speeds. Reckon with a set of better wheels ive got some half decent skates
May i ask whats the different between flat and curve wheels?
We have a blog on our website that goes into more detail, basically round are easier to learn and provide a really smooth ride. Flat are preferred by some riders for certain tricks and they have a little longer lifespan

The biggest mistake is not wearing safety gear and then breaking your bones all because these videos make free skating appear easier than it is.
Not really, I just got mine. And I didn’t think it was gonna be easy. They say in almost every beginner video that free skating isn’t easy and that you’re not gonna learn it in one day
