Gaffer stick a magnet to the back of the card.hold in place on the envelope have a second magnet place on the back of the envelope.take magnet off with PK ring ,.And the card vanishes. Ps you can cut a card down and have the card appear in the a second envelope. Or vanish from one appear in the second. Great stuff gaffer give me a mention soul man.,,😎😎

If you put face up a Card as a gimmick and you force another one in the deck you could reveal the face up in the enveloppe...but knowing yourself you must have already thought about it.😉

Voila card changes to the chosen card but in blue back

I had a wallet 15-20 years ago that worked exactly like this, It is called the Mirage Wallet by Mark Mason :) I have always loved this gimmick but it doesn’t work so smoothe on a wallet :(

i made one... i use a blank back a blank face and the half card....i show the 3 cards pull the back one out saying this has nothing on the back...then the next card saying this has nothing on the front...release the half card then show empty envelope and say last card has nothing on the front or back....

The suggested routine makes no sense and using the gimmick as means of transforming the card draws attention to the gimmick.
Despite these two pretty huge issues, this could potentially make a decent switching device, but you'd need to add a few things to the bottom of the envelope so a card can be loaded. Magnets and slits potentially.
