The greatest story I've ever read about Skaven society, psychology, and mentality is a two or three sentence story from their last WHFB Armybook. It is the inner monologue of the back half of the two-man rattling gun team, including how he is plotting to take over the easier job of aiming the gun.

Queek Headtaker's plotline in the end times was desperation to claim immortality because he was already pretty old at just under 10 years, and I don't imagine skaven lifespans have changed too much since

Have you read skaven slayer? I know it's world that was but it's possibly my favourite depiction of skaven and their backstabbing nature

Just pulled up the loathsome ratmen book. Skaven are adults at age 5 and live to estimated 20.
Skaven usually only live about 35 years, at least in the old world. That can be extended if the skaven in question is a powerful grey seer, plague priest or master moulder.
Even then their bodies do give out and they often have to be carried around.
Would love to see you speculate about Clans Shrykt and what could've happened to them. Clans Ikk and Tichritt are interesting too but its the fact that Shrykt rats are referred to as "lie-weavers" in the battletome that really gets the noggin joggin

As Pestilence is blessed by Nurgle, Clan Ikk turned to Khorne for his blessings. Using their numbers and bloodlust they would use their vast numbers to drown their enemies and control the council. However, Khorne saw the effects of the Froth-Jaw plague and delighted in the carnage it wrought, so did nothing to save them, but fuelled that fire. The Froth-Jaw plague would never have been as effective without Khornes influence over Ikk which is why we haven't seen it since. The 26 years weren't a tactical series of battles, but testimony to the sheer numbers Ikk commanded.
Skaven leaders on the Council if Thirteen seem to be immortal. The best warriors start to slow down, lose their martial prowess in their 30's and 40's.
Would be really fun to see a revamp of the skaven Grand Strategies to represent the backstabbing and infighting happening at every level of this pretty hero-intensive army. Such as nominating a clan keyword which must have its heroes completely wiped out, and another clan keyword which must have a hero survive the battle and snatch-claim the glory of the victory while their rivals are disposed of
Average Skaven lifespan is under 20 years, some live that long, and some live much, much longer.

The average Skaven normally live around 20 years at the oldest. Of course some use magic and technology to live hundreds of years if not longer.
Love the skaven stories and squabbling. Could you do a vid on the battletome story with the arch warlock and twin warplightning cannon?
Clan Ikk: Khorne "worshipping" Skaven?
Worshipping is subjective, but i could see slightly confused bloodletters manifesting alongside a ravenous super rabies scaven army, shrugging then going back to business

I always thought of Clan Ikk like the Bonesplitters of Skavendom
Draining of the Kaphtar Sea would be a lore great video. That story features nagash, idk, skaven. Its mentioned in a few short stories and the core book. It shows how different factions unintentionly interact in big ways.

Whenever someone asks me about a Skaven plan I take a swig of whisky, have a long drawn out breath, and then motion for them to lay it on me. Because it's gonna get wild lol
I still hold the belief that Gwubs had a plan to split the skaven and have some clans serve other chaos gods, pestilence already worked woth Nurgleites so not too hard to imagine Skryr joining Tzeentch, Mors with Khorne and Moulder with Slannesh, then keep Eshin as the Horned rats favourites.

Ikk probably had a plan similar to Bane from Batman where they inject fluids to make Verminous buff asf, but they also rampage. Who knows?

I know its not true but i like to think skaven are actually blessed with long life like elves but they dont know this as they are constantly killing each other trying to keep alive, the great irony
