A little devil's advocate here but I thought Zach having been raised in the midwest might have recognized that screen doors all open outwards, while the main door does not. I do sometimes run into the annoyance of an amazon package being placed directly in front of the screen door and having to push it with the door. this is actually a serious issue a lot of people with adhd have, including myself. I recently got a job at a grocery store and every time i zoned out or got distracted by something, my superior would yell at me. I never even told him or my employer i had adhd, i just quit and went to a different job. that "superior" i worked under got chewed put by my employer at the time due to him being tough on me and the other employees. now i am happier at my new job where all of my superiors treat me nice and they also havent been told that i have adhd because i do not want to be treated differently than everyone else. treat everyone nice regardless of if they have a mental disorder or not, imo.
Look at it this way. If no one has said anything, it's entirely possible you've gained so much control over it that nobody can tell from the outside. That's really impressive coming from someone who also has ADHD. This thing is a bitch to get a handle on. 😅

For the doordash door post. people have stormdoors/screen doors most of those open outward while the second/actual front door opens inwards, depending on your door and how or what they leaned on it, it could make it hard to open the storm door. I find most of those know to leave to side amazon is the one who'll put in front of storm doors.
yeah almost every house where I live has a screen door, but its never been an issue and Ive lived at like 3 different houses with them. Even if it is you can just leave a note with the order or have a doormat that says "PUT DELIVERY STUFF HERE" like the dudes said.

11:02 Sadly, I can confirm that a lot of employers do actually treat people with ADHD and other conditions like Autism etc. like absolute shit. Most disabled people, if we can get away with it, don't disclose any of our disabilities because we'll either 1) never get a job no matter how qualified we are for it, or 2) they absolutely do treat disabled people differently. It fucking sucks.
Also, reminder that disabled people are the most common victims of wage theft etc. so it absolutely does matter if you disclose a disability or not. Employers fuck with disabled people more often than they don't, and sometimes suffering is the only way to get or stay employed. We live in hell.

Exactly, holy shit. I love these guys but when it comes to talk about disabilities, they seem to not have a firm grasp on a lot of it. I applied for like 200 jobs when I was 18 and always disclosed I was autistic and 7 of them responded back. I reapplied to around 50 of those jobs decided not to say I was autistic and 40 responded back quickly. I think a lot of people who don't have mental disorders misunderstand them badly, like people thinking ADHD just means that you're bouncing off the walls 24/7 or how people think autism just means being a literal knuckle dragging idiot. It sucks and I'm sorry to everyone (including you) that has to mask their disabilities/disorders and just tough it out, I know it's rough :/

i don't have context or care enough to find the post, but it could've been some severe shit. it's not crazy that someone would be relieved if the bullying was traumatic. when you hear about kids as young as 9 hanging themselves over it, it's hard to not think that maybe he didn't have a lot of support or had a rough home life, and that bully could've done some lasting emotional or physical damage. not saying it's healthy, but it's not shocking.

Most doors do open in but most houses around me have a second glass door that opens outward. But as a delivery person it's pretty obvious if you are putting food in front of a door that swings out like just some awareness to avoid that. The person might give shit tips or something so they do it on purpose to them.
I fucking hate tipping in the US it's fucking extortion, I don't care if I sound like a Redditor I don't like the idea of being guilt triped into spending an extra 10 or so dollars every time I order food just to get my food intact and avoid some super saiyan 3 browed freak poisoning my pizza because the establishment wants to keep paying their employees in Reddit gold.
Yeah, screen doors are fairly common and its visually obvious that they open outwards
I had made a separate comment on this, but to include it in a started thread, it's also regional. Place like Florida that suffer from the occasional heavy wind based natural disaster normally have front doors that open outward to prevent from the doors being blown in. There are exceptions from time to time like houses with screen enclosures or alcoved entryways, but it's not the standard.
I don't know how it is in other states with similar problems, but around here, if it isn't part of the building code for new properties, it's at least a standard

It's not about patience, I only went to a midnight release once and it was for the experience. Maybe now that I'm 30 I'd think "there's better things to do than wait on line with dorks" but as a kid it was awesome to stay up late and talk to the other kids.

idk if it's just where I live, but for me it's incredibly common for front doors to have a storm door that opens outward. I think those doors only ever open outwards as well? I've definitely experienced food deliveries and even package deliveries that get put right against the storm door and block it from being opened without knocking the item over. Most of the time people have the common sense not to do that, but it's kinda lame when it does happen.
